Freycinet National park has something for everyone. We visited with our 8-month-old baby and were still able to do a few walks in the park including the Wineglass Bay Lookout, Sleepy Bay and the lighthouse walk. The scenery is breathtaking and the different hikes available cater to all abilities. The 24hr parking park pass cost about $25 which was worth the money as the walking trails and very well maintained! Definitely visit here if travelling in the area! There are camping sites you can hire in the park as well!

Honeymoon Bay is tiny, very tiny, but an absolute gem. It has a small beach that boats can pull into, and good, sheltered safe swimming. From the beach, or off the gently sloping rocks you can then snorkel around the bay, and out into the more open water, in perfect safety. Wonderful shallow reefs and soft corals and sea grass bed teeming with fish. And, in the evening, wallabies come down to the beach to eat and pose for pictures. There are toilets some distance behind the beach and picnic facilities, and plenty of shade. There’s a fair bit of parking, but I expect on busy days this would fill up fast

We stayed overnight at the Friendly Beaches camp ground - a free camp overlooking the beach. Sites are made separate by natural vegetation. You cannot book so first in best dressed. No power or running water. Drop toilets with toilet paper but no hand washing facility. An amazing location - spectacular scenery. Cold overnight so rug up. Would recommend.

Freycinet marine farm is a Oyster and Mussel farm located on the Freycinet peninsula. As part of their farm they have a farm gate produce stall where they sell their Oysters and Mussels freshly harvested. They also sell Local Rock lobster, Scallops, Abalone and Local wine and Beer. They have a simple hot food menu to eat on there picnic tables.They are open daily 9-5pm and Finish cooking at 4.30pm daily. You can buy fresh seafood to take away or eat on the deck.In winter June, July and August we are open 10-4pm daily.

The oysters here were absolutely divine and soooo cheap. I had oysters with smoked salmon and brie - delicious. They also had mussels, scallops and you could have a takeaway of oysters, mussels and a huge lobster cut open ready to just scoop out the flesh and enjoy.
