We recently had family visit from the UK who were keen to join us on a daily bike ride. Having researched a number of places to hire bikes I recommended that they went to Rod at Port City cycles where my wife and I bought our bikes many months ago. Anne & David were extremely happy with the bikes they hired for a period of almost 2 weeks. Cost was excellent as was the communication through emails to book and extend the hire period. Rod’s customer service is first class as is the quality of bike he hires. Thoroughly recommended!!!!

Rottnest Island Pedal and Flipper

Fantastic operation - easy to pre-order and pre-pay regular and/or electric bikes and snorkel gear online, print up confirmation, walk from ferry pier to bike shop, pick up gear, pay refundable bike deposit, get instructions on how to use bike, take a map, and bike away to explore, see quokkas, and swim/snorkel. Very, very simple process. Staff was friendly and runs a smooth opertion. Husband and I rented electric bikes and they are well worth the extra expense! There are a few steep hills and we zoomed up them easily without much effort while others on regular bikes had to walk them up a few hills. We brought our own snorkel gear but did rent fins. They were fairly simple, but worked. We didn't need it (fortunately), but they provide an emergency number in case your bike breaks down, runs out of battery, or gets a flat tire and they will come to you on the island to help you out. I didn't think I'd enjoy biking around the island as much as I did, but it was enjoyable. We stopped to snorkel in a couple of places and saw many quokkas!
