Kraken Tours

Hop on board our 7.8m Rigid Inflatable Boat at Port Welshpool in South Gippsland and skip across the waves of Corner Inlet out to where the Tasman Sea meets Bass Strait. Be amazed by the scenery of the Wilson's Promontory coastline and keep a lookout for wildlife - dolphins, seals, penguins, birdlife, whales. Arrive at Refuge Cove on the south eastern coast of Wilsons Prom and enjoy an hour or so exploring the pristine sands and surrounding bushlands of the cove. Enjoy your own picnic on the beach, swim or just relax before the ride back, circle Rabbit Island with its coastal caves and resident sea eagles and Cape Baron Geese, before heading back to Port Franklin. An exciting adventure ride, you may get windblown, you may get wet but you will have a fabulous time!

Gurneys' Cidery

Gurneys' Cidery overlooks Corner Inlet and the wilderness of Wilsons Promontory National Park. We are situated on 70 acres of farmland and have around 6000 heritage cider apple trees. Gurneys specialise in producing traditional dry ciders and serve local cheeses and meats. Gurneys is a must visit on the way to the Prom. We are a working farm, unfortunately this means that no pets are allowed.

Second visit to this lovely little family owned operation. Delicious nibbles share plate and cider tasting board (including their AMAZING ice variety of which we took home a couple of bottles). Outstanding views over the Prom and gorgeous gardens in full bloom. Lovely informative, attentive staff (whom I presume are the owners due to their enthusiasm) ????

Sometimes we find ourselves taking local shops for granted and we most definitely shouldn't! . I have enjoyed shopping at Revelations, Foster for many years and have never been disappointed. When I visited last week I noted once again the amazing variety of stock tastefully packed (without clutter) into this charming little shop; Men's hats, dream catchers, Sterling Silver jewellery, gemstones,, ponchos, ethnic tops and much more. This is a perfect place to go when looking for a present or better still when treating yourself.
