I’m a big fan of this zoo, especially the penguins, sea lions, and otters. Appreciate the good food choices (not typical hamburger joints), the touch tank, and kid’s play areas. Definitely one of Fort Wayne’s top attractions.

Have riden about 1/2 of the trails in the Greenway trail system. They are mostly scenic and very comfortable riding. For the most parts they are asphalt paved.

Fox Island County Park

I went to Fox Island today to make the most of a beautiful day. We brought our cameras and wanted to get some exercise. This place is great for families, couples, or a solo trip. Dogs are welcomed as well. Admission is only $2 for the day. Fox Island is over 600 acres with 7 miles of walking trails. In the winter, this place is great for cross country skiing. In the summer, you can take advantage of the hiking trails or visit the sand dunes. When walking the trails, you might see some wildlife. We’ve spotted deer once or twice. With the rising heat of the day, we went to the beach for a swim in the lake. While some swam, others played volleyball and grilled out. Theirs something to do here for everyone regardless of the season. I plan to continue coming back here again to enjoy this place.
