Large mall that is very spread out, including outdoor shopping and restaurants. Check the store directory online to see what’s available. Dillards, Belk, and Von Maur are there. Von Maur is located where Nordstrom used to be. Lots of restaurant options, aside from food court. Plenty of stores that teens will like. Not upscale if that’s what you’re looking for...need to drive into Atlanta to Phipps or Lenox for that. Overall a good, basic mall with lots of choices in fashion and food.

This park has amazing trails for all levels of hikers and walkers. The paths are through forests, through meadows, around lakes and mixtures of all three. You can choose paved or unpaved, and sunny or shaded. There's also an equestrian trail for those who enjoy trail horseback riding. There are several docks for fishing, pavilions for gathering, and playgrounds for playing as well as animals for wildlife viewers. I have seen all types of birds and water fowl, turtles, frogs, deer, snakes, and squirrels. Most of the animals (except the squirrels) keep their distance, but they'll be close enough that you get to enjoy seeing them.

Several couples dined here recently. We ordered hot sandwiches and salads, after 7 PM. The meals were nicely prepared. Several of us had sweet potato fries as a side order and the salads some in our party had were fresh, large and tasty.
We dined in a room that overlooks a putting green and there are flat screen TV's on the walls. A nice, informal meal with very good service. The entry way to the dining area has some golf memorabilia and appeals to golfers.

Chateau Elan Winery

The marc is a new restaurant at the Chateau Elan winery in a renovated part of the tasting room. We stopped at the winery on our arrival at the Chateau and requested a "free" sample of a couple of wines we thought interseting. The attendant offered each of us, 4 people, a sample and said they were serving them in marc, the wines were good so we went to dinner. The restaurant features farm to table with a limited menu, not a problem. The chicken and pork were more than we could ask for and the sides were served family style. We went back 2 days later.

Lake with ducks and fish that the little ones can see swimming around. Even a concrete ping pong table ( bring your paddles and ping pong ball). Blacktop trails are very shaded - lots of benches to just sit and watch nature.

We stopped in while going to a car show downtown. A nice little set-up but the prices are very high. We skipped buying anything which is too bad, but paying too much for the simplest items would not have set well.

This is one of the most family friendly venues you can take your kids to. The tickets, food, and folks make it easy to bring a family and not break the bank. There is always something happening out on the field between innings. When they announce "Chopper " as the hardest working mascot in baseball, they aren't kidding! They truly love the fans here. Be sure to go on a Sunday. The kids get to play catch out on the field before the game!

Lanier Boat Charter

Lanier Boat Charter is a high end boat rental and charter business north of Atlanta on Lake Lanier. We provide our guests with brand new Harris Tritoons and Yamaha jetskis as well as vintage houseboats and non-powered vessels for a memorable day on the lake. We have the best product and service on the lake at the right price point.

Very professional outfit! Justin is very knowledgeable and makes the renting process fun and efficient. We had 6 adults and 5 kids ages 6-8. The boats are high quality and the 150 horsepower engines are really a plus. Only mishap was we left the dock with less than a half tank. Called the owner, and he apologized. Came back to fill up (our cost) and ate lunch (ate at Fish Tales which was superb, btw -get the fried green tomato sandwich). They made adjustments on fuel upon returning the boat to "kinda" make it right, other than the fuel issue, I would have given 5 stars. Would definitely rent from them again!
