What to do and see in Florida, United States: The Best Horseback Riding Tours

February 12, 2022 Sachiko Swiger

Not just for retirees and theme park enthusiasts, the Sunshine State offers beautiful beaches, pristine diving conditions, and sizzling nightlife. Salsa the night away in a smokin’ hot Miami club, or swing away at one of Kissimmee’s many premium golf courses. An airboat tour of the Everglades is an unforgettable adventure – just look out for alligators! For the risk-averse, a lazy day spent on the soft sands of an Emerald Coast beach is as rejuvenating as a spa treatment.

We trailer out to a 3,000 acre preserve typically. If the preserve is closed we do the rides on the levee on beautiful Lake Okeechobee. Either way you get to experience two hours with our wonderful horses! Due to COVID 19 we are doing our part for social distancing by having our customers meet us at the site. Once there it is easy to maintain the distance rule in the fresh air and sunshine! The address to the Bluefield Natural Area is 30501 Bluefield Road.

What better way to take in the uniqueness of the beaches at Cape San Blas than by horseback? Our forgotten coast boasts being one of the only remaining vacation destinations in the country which allows our visitors to enjoy horseback riding on the beach. A relaxing ride next to the waves of the gulf is just another way to experience the laid back atmosphere of our area. We set our pace to the rhythm of the waves that wash ashore while taking it all in... the seashell showered beaches, colorful sunsets and on lucky days we even see happy dolphins playing! Also, there are plenty of photo opportunities during your ride.

This was my daughter's childhood dream fulfilled. We were booked in 2013 but unfortunately rained out. AMAZING ride with quiet well seasoned horses. Views can't be beat! Not too many places you can ride horses on the beach in the US. Book early, they fill up fast! And pay for the photo package to preserve your memories ❤

We enjoyed ourselves! Our guide Nichole was excellent. We did a 1 hour trail. They pair you up well with a horse that is based on your skill level, which is helpful for someone with little or no experience.

If you want a getaway from the city, private time or the best horseback riding ever gotta try Cypress House. We missed our 19th anniversary, because I was in Iraq, so took time for just us and so glad we did. Amy and Michael are the best host and Trail Boss ever. Get up as early or late as you want. You have your own privacy but can mingle with other guests, you choose. Nights if you just want to sit in the room and watch movies they have hundreds of them. Days they have Goats, a huge beautiful, looks like a umbrella bird, but not sure I don't know birds lol, kitty's outside only, a pig and many beautiful horses. The trail ride through a natural beautiful forest is amazing, we saw deer both days. My husband has only ridden 2 times and already feels like a pro. These horses are so friendly but remember you are on their turf so show respect. I have hundreds of pictures. This place has a beautiful front lawn which would be perfect for a wedding, birthday party, anniversary events of any type. The patio under the living quarters would be great if it rain cause you know Florida rain has a way of deciding to join you. We spent the weekend and most certainly will go back. Go as a couple or as a family it is perfect for both. For great local food "Big O's Home Plate" Fridays all you can eat fish and shrimp. OMGoodness what can I say my husband had fried I had grilled. I know if you leave without having fun you weren't going to have fun anywhere you go. Thank you Amy and Michael

Broke A Toe Horseback Riding on the Beach

We offer horseback riding on the beach all year round.

We can't WAIT to come back. What a great outfit. It's so special to ride horses on the beach and this was the highlight of our trip. We were driving about 4 hours between our destinations and were en route to the park to meet up when I received a text that we were meeting in 5 minutes, but I still had 50 minutes left of my drive. I had goofed! We were in Central time and they were in Eastern! I had just blown the highlight of our trip. They graciously rescheduled us and we had the best time ever! Many of their horses are rescues and they LOVE their horses. Hayley was our guide and she made the trip fun and gave us little glimpses into the horse's personalities. She did a great job of managing other people on the beach, maneuvering us around any obstacles and accommodating a special request that we had. She and her Mom work so hard to help people lay back and have fun on the beach. You can tell that the horses love their job too. Best part of our trip - hands down. The teenager has requested a sunset ride for next time and I can't wait!
