Natadola Beach

Considered one of Fiji's best Beaches, Natadola features pure white sand, many much-needed shade trees and horses for hire - both gentle rides for children and adult-level treks as well.

Generally it is not easy to find a beach with clear sand and free of some dangerous sea creatures in Fiji. Natadola beach is an excellent option. You can access it from intercontinental for a 40 FJD per person food voucher. Only down side is the horses that the local villagers riding on the beach, which is polluting the area.

What a fantastic spot this was, we did a tour that our travel agent suggested and we would have never thought of (thanks Champagne Travel) and it didn't disappoint. Was very hot but cooler under the magic forest and you pass streams, Waterfalls in an untouched jungle. Lots of police and security about and felt very safe. Wonderful swim at the end in a deep cool lagoon on a tree swinging rope ! Limited facilities and you can get to the pool by driving closer or smaller your coaches drop off much nearer. But hike was worth it !

Visited this a number of years ago, great spot, amazing snorkling at that time.
Bit confused about some entries, there was nothing on the island, no resort, but here it looks like there is also reviews about a Castaway resort style place, confusing.
The deserted Castaway is great, saw a lot of cuttle fish while snorkling which was amazing. Sand so white, you can imagine the movie being shot here on this island.

Bouma National Heritage Park

This magnificent rainforest park offers superb swimming and hiking, and harbors the mysterious tagimoucia flower, said to grow only here and thrive no place else in the world.

Reviewed By lamontravel - California

We came here with our college-aged kids from the Mission at Natuvu Creek to see the water falls. After about an hour drive from the docks in Taveuni, we arrived at the Bouma National Heritage Park office. It was a short ten minute walk to the first falls. It had rained recently and we were told the walkway to the second and third falls were pretty muddy, slippery and steep. So we decided to stay at the lower falls. We had the place to ourselves as everyone else proceeded to the second and/or third falls right away. The falls were beautiful, and the water was a decent temperature, albeit too cold by Fijian standard. We're from Southern California where the ocean is considered warm at 68-70 degrees Fahrenheit. My son swam to the ledge behind the falls and jumped in, many times. The drop is about 12-14 feet. The younger guides jumped in with him and had a great time. We ate our lunch there and enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of the area. It is definitely a worthwhile excursion to do!

Being met by a friendly green iguana was a good introduction to this small but very interesting nature park. It was a very well presented park with activities that suited both small children, and adults. Kids were encouraged to feed turtles and the walk-through bird cages were well done. I'm not a great fan of keeping birds in cages but most of them looked pretty happy and well looked after. If you have small children there is a lovely swimming pool with some good amenities, and for the young at heart and teenagers, there is a great zip line that goes through the trees. Note that the parking is difficult - don't cross the causeway, park outside the park on the roadside. It was worth a visit.
