Hanuman Garhi Mandir

Reviewed By VIPIN_GOEL_TP_Impex - New Delhi, India

Located in the middle of Ayodhya, Hanuman Garhi is 1 km from Ayodhya railway station. We reached here around 8pm. Remove your shoes and socks or slippers at any Prashad Shop. Around 76 steps lead to the main temple, it is one of the most popular temple complexes of Lord Hanuman in North India. The temple is very colourful with red and green as prominent colours. You will find here a beautiful idol of Bal (young) sitting on lap of Maa Anjani. Several small temples and Satsang halls are also there. It is a custom and belief that before visiting Ram temple one should first pay visit to Lord Hanuman temple. Take care on Tuesdays as you will find long ques to reach the main temple.

Gulab Bari

Reviewed By aman_vivek - Gurugram (Gurgaon), India

This place is maintained by ASI and there is a historical tomb, beautiful garden, a mosque etc. This is a photogenic place and you can also sit in the garden to relax. I think ASI not maintaining this place very well and no charge for entry. So ASI must add an entry charge for this monuments to avoid unwanted crowds. There is also another tomb and famous as Makbara located in the middle of the city and not maintain but equally beautiful. ASI must maintain that monument too.
