Not much to see here. The house was used for the exterior filming of the tv show but that's about it. Upper floor was being renovated so they gave us post cards to show us what it used to look like. Little cemetery for JR, Jock and Miss Ellie.

I enjoy visiting the McKinney town square and looked forward to introducing my sister in laws and nieces to it on our girl's weekend. They were delighted with the shopping opportunities and the variety of eating establishments.

Attended an Allen Americans game there. Have *many* times in the past and had a blast! This time halfway into the first period our seats buckled onto the floor, tossing us forward, resulting in spilled drinks and an entire order of nachos tossed on the people in front of us! We uprighted the seats, and called an usher but before he got to us they fell totally to the floor. He was quite apologetic and suggested we take any available seat "although all seats in this section are sold." (Thanks for the direction, dude.) We moved a row up, away from our family, nobody ever claimed their seats, and he came back in the second quarter and said that they would fix the seats. The End. No "can we replace the drinks and nachos you lost?" or anything else. Wow. Absolutely horrible customer service. I would avoid this venue for a while.

We needed to get outside on a beautiful winter day and decided on a visit to the Heard Natural Science Museum. Our first stop was at the visitor center to get tickets and a map. The fee of $50.00 was reasonable for four adults and two children. The center offers several exhibits on the main and lower floors. There is a small gift shop that is conveniently stocked with many items under $5.00. After exploring the inside exhibits, head outside to the trails. Be careful. You will encounter some scary animated dinosaurs along the way. There is a frontier town which is actually a group of playhouses. Live animals are also located near this area. There are several spots with picnic tables to enjoy lunch or a snack.

Great outlet mall, love the selection of shops and the prices. It's been remodeled lately and there's more eating places in the center building. There's also more parking behind the mall which helps on weekends and holidays. My favorite stores: The North Face, Columbia, Nike, ASICS, Lucky Brand, MK, Perfumania and recently reopened Fossil. There have added more sitting areas with fireplaces and kids activities for those of you that don't love shopping so much. You won't be disappointed!

Splitsville is over the top in many ways. The atmosphere is nothing like bowling alleys of yore. Instead, lanes are angled, lighting is varied and the bar is in the center of things. Servers don't let your drinks run dry.
Speaking of which, this place actually has good food and drinks. Not good for a bowling alley, but really good. Plus, if you're not into bowling a game of shuffleboard is highly recommended.
Service has always been top notch. The manger is visible and involved and his staff stays on top of things. Even the restrooms are spotless. So even if you're not into bowling, this place is just plain fun. And yes, you should plan to eat there.

Watters Creek is a lovely setting for shopping and eating. Favorites include Anthropologie, Sephora, Kendra Scott, Vera Bradley and Charming Charlie. You may see parking meters but don't be tricked into thinking you have to pay for parking...those are donation based for charity. There are also free parking garages if you can't find street parking. Check the schedule for outdoor concerts and other family activities.

Salt Sports bar is part of the iPic Theaters, but more than holds its own as a premium nightspot for the adult crowd. The bar is stocked with your favorite options but also features amazing custom mixed drinks that you can't find anywhere else.
Additionally, there is a new featured beverage every month making repeat visits a must.
The environment is upscale and posh and the menu features some amazing high-end fare including updated versions of some of your favorites.
The pulled pork grilled cheese served with sweet potato fries is a fine example of taking an old-time favorite and punching it up with a contemporary flair.
The staff is super friendly and makes you feel like you are their only customer.
If billiards and bars aren't your thing, you can still enjoy the food and beverages from the comfort of a premium plus ultra suede seat while taking in a movie.
