Tomaquag Museum is the region's only native-operated facility dedicated to the sharing of indigenous culture, arts and history. Tomaquag boasts 14 unique rotating exhibits that showcase Southern New England tribal community stories, over 20,000 artifacts in collections, and over 100,000 research materials in the archive. Come take a tour with our knowledgeable and native museum staff for an enriching educational experience.
We had an educational and inspirational visit to the Tomaquag Museum today. We had a friend visiting from Germany and she is very interested in Native American culture and history. We heard about this museum and decided to make the drive to see it. The drive was beautiful (another story) and we were greeted by staff that were indigenous people. Our guide, Lindsey, was articulate, enthusiastic and informative. She led us from one exhibit to another explaining them with a focus on civil rights and justice. We learned many things about indigenous people and her tribe. The museum is small and loaded with interesting exhibits. The best part was the commitment and excitement of the staff. I highly recommend the visit.

This place is no joke. It is a great family run farm brewery that makes AMAZING beer. They have a tiny little brewery in a barn and the crank out some of the best IPAs and Pale Ales around. When you visit you are on the owners property with their kids playing and their dogs roaming around. Grab a few pours and hang out. They usually have a food truck. Grab some cans to go. They do have flights. They do not currently fill growlers. A bit tough to find if you are not looking. A sign at the street gives you the only indication that there is heaven just a few hundred yards down a dirt road thru the woods. Check the hours before you make the trek. Also the RI state law is in effect for can limits. 1 case pp. The brewery usually puts limits on cans as well as they typically sell out each week.

Schartner Farms was a wonderful family-owned farm with a farm stand, plants, gifts, berry picking, cut your own Christmas trees and our favorite, Pumpkin Express with rides, games just good wholesome fun! Part of the building burned down and they sadly have not reopened. They deserve 5 stars for what they were, a beautiful part of yesterday! We will all miss you!!
We are a small family owned and family run farm in Exeter. Our family farm has been in operation for over 100 years, and four generations. Originating in Warwick, right where the airport exists now, our ancestors emigrated from Sweden. Today the farm is run by Paul and Linda Hallene, with help from their children (Brian & Tammy) Son-in-Law (John), and grandchildren. We have plans to expand.
Yawgoo Valley is open all year round with BOTH winter and summer activities! Many people love snow tubing, and this is Rhode Island's only snow tubing park!

Nice Audubon trail that goes through the woods, around a pond and to an open field. Moderate level hike, no steep inclines.
