While on a weekend away in Denver, we made sure this was one of our stops. Since it was late march, still chilly and there were no concerts going on, however, it is still very functional and used for various people exercising, using the stairs, the ramps and the stage all for various stages of working out. We just took in the beauty of this area and the miracle of putting this stage here and admiring all the beauty here. Under the "stage" is a wall of fame" that is cool to see with all the acts that have performed on this stage. Just come and sit and take in the beauty, and if you are lucky enough, catch a concert...I hear from EVERY LOCAL - it is a must!

Amazing event! The 8 pm and repeating Midnight fireworks at Evergreen Lake are fabulous! The skating and bonfires are very Currier & Ives-like....with music and food to warm the heart and tummy in the brisk mountain air. This is an annual gathering with free shuttles from several parking areas. The event is non -alcoholic....totally perfect for families and older folks too! Rental skis and hot chocolate and snacks all available. Wear warm clothing and gloves and hats!! It is a fun night each year!

I stumbled over this gallery a few years ago and have been going back ever since. There's a fine selection of original art by an ever-changing line up of great artists. This is now my favorite gallery in the Denver metro area and I think it rivals some of the finest in Santa Fe. My favorite pieces are Pablo Milan paintings.

This was our second free attraction for the day (Red Rock amphitheater being the other) and we were delighted with the museum and visitor center and dinosaur items. The museum is small but interesting, especially the dinosaur eggs. You can walk up to the tracks or take a shuttle. If you take the shuttle, you just need to drive to the other end end of the trail, only a few minutes away. Kids and adults will enjoy this low key stop.

There are several hikes to choose from at Three Sisters Park and all are great for fresh air and exercise. Several are roundtrips and will bring you right back to the parking lot. This is somewhere you can do a quick hike in an hour or go further and be gone for several hours.

While it is an eclectic neighborhood you drive through to park, the park itself is anything but. Easy pathway to the ruins, and we definitely learned a lot about the Walker family and their role in developing Jeffco open spaces!

The dinosaurs they feature are strictly from the area. We were able to take a guided tour and while our guide was young he knew his stuff! I wouldn't recommend going here without a tour. There is not much to guide you along otherwise. My whole family learned at least one thing they didn't already know. Also with a tour you get to use a tool on one of the blocks they are working on! My 8 year did this and had a blast with it. Note the parking lot is not huge.

Along the path there are benches and markers. So you can rest and show how many you have climb. There are many place for prayer the chapel where you can light candles, near the Holy Water area a chapel on the bottom floor, the church inside, and the top of the stairs. The gift shop has candles and so does the chapel where you light the candles. This is such a beautiful place.

We live nearby and visited Tiny Town regularly when my boys were young. It is ideal for toddlers and kids under age 5. The small buildings spark the imaginations of children and parents enjoy some old fashioned, tranquil fun in a foothills, scenic environment. If your child likes Thomas the Train, The Little Engine that Could or any stories involving trains, they will love taking a train ride and checking out the model train in the snack bar. We had a family joke about the kids sending Mom or Dad to jail...which many adults can squeeze into. Likewise, Mom got to send the kids to church. They have a playground, a snack bar and plenty of shade to escape summer heat. Tiny Town is a treat!
