Sandestin Golf Resort - Raven, Burnt Pine, Baytowne, The Links

Reviewed By swimkids04 - Tuscaloosa, United States

5 day golf trip and we played all 4 courses. They were all just exactly what we planned on and each had their special attributes! Of course Burnt Pine was everything we wanted and more! It had rained late the day before and we were cart path only and several of our group elected to play longer tees than they needed to so they had a long day! I would suggest checking about cart path rules before Burnt Pine or Raven because cart path only makes those courses really play long. We elected to play Raven twice and it was great. On our Spring trip we may opt for Links twice as it would be a great 1st and last day venue. The day we played the links the wind was not blowing so we enjoyed not having to deal with that! Baytown was resort golf and a fine challenge for our group, nice views and in good shape after aeration a couple of weeks before. The staff was so accommodating as we had to switch days because of rain and they went above and beyond to help us! Our family is going back for Thanksgiving holiday and plan on playing all four again. Can’t wait!

Goofy Golf

Reviewed By wmtip - Fort Walton Beach, United States

Our son loves playing putt putt and when we passed this place on the way into town, we knew we had to stop and play. So glad we did! We all 3 plates 18 holes for under $8! It’s $3 for adults and $1.50 for kids! We had a great time and loved the classic putt putt holes. They have a great hole called the barrel roll where you have to bank you ball up a ramp. It’s a neat hole. Highly recommend.

Indian Bayou Golf Club

Indian Bayou offers three nine-hole courses each with a unique set of characteristics and signature holes. Indian Bayou’s 27 holes feature wide, forgiving fairways with beautiful lush, undulating greens, majestic pines and sparkling lakes and water features.

I was on a work trip and had a chance to play, so I went to IB. The 3 9s are just in great shape. The greens are in immaculate shape. A storm hit last night, so they flipped the 9s so we could still play Seminole as the back vs front nine, as they were cleaning up debris from the storm. The price is right as well. We saw the beverage cart 3 times during the round, which I think is just fine. The pro shop has plenty of shirts and hats and I was pleasantly surprised at the prices. I would definitely play here again.

Emerald Bay Golf Club

Play by the Bay. This championship level, 18-hole course is believed by many to be one of Northwest Florida's best. Enjoy breathtaking views of the bay, which runs along the back nine. Just steps from the course, the Guesthouse offers luxury accommodations for up to 16.

Ok, how can anyone say golfing in Destin is affordable. First, try calling and asking for rates and tee times. Every time time we have played at the Emerald Bay, the Pro Shop staff have been very accomendating and given us a great rate. When we say decent, my wife and I have been able to play at the Links and Baytowne for under $100 for both of us. Now for the most important comments - the course is absoletely everything you'd imagine. Fairways are well manicured, not too narrow and very challenging. Greens are well kept. Overall, we found the staff very friendly and pleasant; the courses were challenging but not so much that a high handicapper couldn't enjoy a round.

The Golf Garden of Destin

Reviewed By tomstimber - Hodges, United States

The Golf Garden is a wonderful 9 hole Par 3 course (with 2 Par 4’s). The people who work here are friendly and helpful and definitely contribute to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The course is well maintained and just challenging enough to be a lot fun. You can rent a golf cart if you want but I recommend using a pull cart and walking. Once you’ve finished 9 you can go around again for a discounted price. There’s a driving range and mini golf too! This is my number 1 spot to visit in Destin!
