The TF-5 motorway passes through the municipality. The population is 9,076 (2013) and the area is 18.31 km².

We went for the wine & fell in love with the food. From the assortment of fresh breads & jams to our scrambled eggs with jamón Serrano overlooking the vineyards & the Atlantic Ocean...this is the brunch of your dreams. The menu offers brunch options paired with your choice of the local wines.???????? If possible, make a reservation—we just happened to get lucky.

This is a brilliant place, wine museum which is very interesting and a fantastic selection of wines on sale or for tasting experience. Definitely go to the restaurant though, one of the best you will find. The menu is extensive and each dish we tried was perfectly cooked. The vine list cannot be faulted. From the restaurant terrace the view is very good. The whole experience was wonderful
