What to do and see in East End / East London, England: The Best Nightlife

September 18, 2021 Kaleigh Reichenbach

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Colours Hoxton

Colours is an inclusive space to dance, create, meet, eat, drink booze, not drink booze, and paint the town whichever colour you choose. Colours is Hoxton Square’s new multi-arts bar and club. We are here to prove there’s still a creative heartbeat and soul to East London…you just have to know where to look. Colours is open midday to late-night every day. During daytimes, the space will serve as a lunchtime hangout and creative hub, providing a space for collaborators and SuperCulture Club members to work, rehearse and record podcasts. Our ‘SuperCulture hub’ will host cutting-edge cultural events every weeknight from an ‘after school’ club with networking app ‘Daisie’ to Queer Experimental Cinema and Neon Naked Life Drawing.

Liquorette

Set inside a converted Victorian pub on Rathbone Place, GENUINE Liquorette draws inspiration from NYC’s street-corner bodegas and classic liquor stores. An innovative hybrid of bar and shop; guests are encouraged to experiment, play and peruse, whether that be enjoying a classic Cha-Chunker, indulging in a Signature Cocktail or bottling up a delicious cocktail for takeaway to enjoy later.

Great spot next to Oxford Street. Professional staff and they really care of the quality of drinks. When the barrel with lager almost finish one of the bartenders gave me a pint of lager. But she knew that the beer last beer from the barrel doesn't taste good so she changed for a new pint. I don't think so that in diferent bar someone would be able to do it. Unfortunately I can't remember her name but she is liitle chubby smiling girl with long dark hair and she is really good what she does. She cares. Well done. Can't wait to have a drinks soon.

Town of Ramsgate

Reviewed By Cardiffian3 - Cardiff, United Kingdom

We stumbled into this lovely pub (which is only a short walk from Tower Bridge) and were very happy that we did! The food and drink was excellent. As other reviewers have said, the steak and kidney pud was exceptional (according to my husband), while I had the tuna steak (fantastic) and our friend had a vegetarian pie (also great). It was friendly, comfortable and just the right amount of crowded when we visited (not too loud, but not too empty), with a real neighbourhood feel (apart from us tourists!). On top of all that, I managed to leave my credit card behind, so I'm sending a big THANK YOU to the owners for keeping it safe and going out of their way to post it back to me over a week later (it took me that long to figure out!) Very much appreciated and it's great to know that a pub so close to central London can be as kind and trustworthy as a village local.
