What to do and see in Downtown Manhattan (Downtown), New York (NY): The Best Gay Clubs & Bars

June 19, 2021 Brain Ambrose

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

I was waiting for my wife to finish shopping so popped into the Piano Bar. It was soon rocking with a great atmosphere. Very rare for me to feel so relaxed but everyone was so fun and friendly. I was calling my wife to tell her to get there as soon as possible; Gladys kindly agreed to repeat her rendition of Proud Mary especially for her.

The free TellBetter tour app has an AWESOME free tour of Greenwich Village called Rebels & Radicals that has a stop at Stonewall. It has sound effects and voices makes you feel like you feel like you were actually there on the night of the uprising. It's pretty amazing. Really dramatic. Search "TellBetter" in the app store.
