Folklore Brewing & Meadery

We are Dothan's only local brewery. We have beer on draft and in bottles throughout Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark, Auburn and Opelika. At the brewery you can see the equipment, meet the staff and sample up to 12 different brews. Many of which are not distributed due to experimental nature and seasonal one-off batches. When visiting, food will be available, usually for donations only. Bring valid I.D. and taxi service is available. Call for help arranging pickup or dropoff. Oh yeah, we are in the middle of our old family farm on the south side of Dothan. When you are coming and you think you are not going the right way...you're almost there! Tshirts and Pint glasses are available in the tasting room. The patio is open while improvements are being made. Live music is scheduled for several festival dates through out the year. Friendly Pets on leash and Designated drivers 16 and up are welcome.

Having a beer at Folklore is like going to a good friend's house for a cold one. The people are super friendly, the area clean and the beer is fantastic! Jeremy, the Brewmeister, is frequently there and he enjoys spending time with his customers (actually friends would be a better description as there appears to be no such thing as a stranger at Folklore). And the food is great! They also have special events and bands. During nice weather, it is wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the bands. Even when it is cold, there are several fire pits around to warm yourself. And after a day at the gun show or visiting the numerous antique shops around Dothan, it is a great place to chat with a friend about your finds! And to top it off, Folklore is DOG FRIENDLY!

Landmark Park

There's a grand adventure waiting for you and your family, just on the outskirts of Dothan, at Landmark Park. A 135-acre park built to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of southeast Alabama's Wiregrass Region. As Alabama's Official Museum of Agriculture, Landmark Park is more than just a place to look. It is a place to participate and experience.

This is a very large property celebrating old Alabama and helping to interpret local natural history. Starting at a very large Interpretive Center in the middle of the property, not at the entrance, you can follow a long loop boardwalk with multiple exhibits along the way. Then you can wander through many old buildings that have been moved to the park to give you a better understanding of life in rural areas or small towns a hundred or so years ago. The most impressive gem here is the Martin Drugstore, with a working soda fountain and displays of the original store stock on full shelves. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed learning about the entire area. Very reasonable admission price is a plus.

Murals of the Wiregrass

Reviewed By martian2020 - Nashville, United States

Recently while travelling through Dothan, Alabama me and my friends decided to go downtown and check out the painted wall murals. We all enjoy great artwork and we had heard about all of the beautiful wall murals in Dothan, Alabama, so we decided to go see them. Our first stop was the "Visit Dothan" office to get a map locator of all the murals around town. We used this as our guide. In about 2 hours, we had found and photographed all of the Painted Wall murals in Downtown Dothan. They are really cool. Each mural depicts a story about the History of Dothan. Each one offers an amazing photo opportunity. The Artist is a guy named "Wes Harden", who is a local artist. What a great painter! This guy's artwork is amazing. If you are ever in Dothan, Alabama... I highly recommend that you set aside a couple of hours and walk, or drive around and find these art gems. This artwork has made the older part of town very appealing. On a scale of 1 to 10... I give this attraction a 12 !!!

With 4 brand new slides added to the Water park in 2020 this has changed the entire experience in an outstanding way. What was once an couple of hours of enjoyment for the family has now become worthy of an all day affair. Thrill seekers will find 3 unique slides to curb their appetites, while 2 more are wholesome fun for everyone. In addition the wave pool never disappoints, and the kiddie park pool is perfect for those who just haven't quite made the height requirement. The options of foot and sweets are perfect while needed a pit stop to refuel & I am quite certain everyone in attendance will gladly want to revisit again in the future!
