Dobele ( pronunciation (help·info); German: Doblen) is a town in the cultural region Zemgale in Latvia, and is located near the center of Latvia on the banks of the river Bērze. It received town rights in 1917 whilst being a part of the German occupied Courland Governorate during the First World War. In 2006, its population numbered 10,827 people.

I truly find this place inspirational. I'm an artist and I find inspiration in most of the places but there are special places where inspiration simply seems to be flowing like a river and you find yourself consumed by it... Dobele castle is one of them. Beautiful ruins, beautiful atmosphere.

Сюда надо приезжать во время цветения сирени- конец мая приблизительно. Множество сортов сирени.Можно взять экскурсовода, который подробно расскажет вам все об истории этого парка и сортах, представленных в этом парке. Но можно просто погулять... Красотище! Хорошо погулять с детьми, с друзьями. Есть питомник, где можно купить саженцы растений.Вход платный, но цена билета чисто символическая. Так же множество торговых точек, где продают сладости, напитки местного производства. Рекомендую попробовать.

Стоит в самом центре города и доминирует над главной площадью Добеле. Выглядит ухоженно и аккуратно, видно,что о церкви заботятся и она десйтвующая.

Forest, not far from Dobele. Considered to be holy, spiritual and place with spiritual energy concentrations. I would say it is a nice walk inside the forest, appreciation of an ancient people that might lived on that territory, observation of the stones, but nothing else. There are no obvious marks of any people that lived there, so you can do same thing at any other Latvian forest.
