Our guide, Ava, was delightful! She was very passionate about the region, soil, and the wine. We knew very little about Burgundy, but left feeling comfortable enough to pick out the proper wine in any store! She went over the different terroirs and made frequent use of maps to highlight different plots and ratings. The lunch and tastings were splendid!

Dijon was the home of the Dukes of Burgundy and a place of power from the 11th to the late 15th century. From this period, the city has kept many architectural styles and historical monuments like Capetian, Gothic and Renaissance. Today, Dijon is a city famous for its delicious mustard and its old town. In this tour, you will walk by the historical heart of Dijon, home of many incredible buildings like the Porte Guillaume, Rue de la Liberté, Place de la Libération, Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne and Eglise St-Michel. Martin Luther is NOT the same historical figure as MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr. Germany is not the same nation as the US. Martin Luther was the great GERMAN reformer of the 1500s. Martin Luther King Jr. was the great civil rights American reformer of the 1960s. I keep trying to help this organization, but they don't seem to worry about trivia like historical facts.

We had booked a trip with alexia Papin specifically to visit vineyards in Beaune area as we own a vineyard in Coghills creek Victoria Australia. The places she took us to were amazingly helpful & did not hold back on explaining every aspect of growing grapes, maintaining their vines to achieve the best results & the process they go through in producing wine. Alexia’s interaction with the wineries showed how highly they regarded her. Also on our tour we were taken to the many interesting sites in Beaune.
