The MRT Beimen Station is on the Songshan Line, and exits onto Tacheng Street. Located four stories below ground; it is 171 meters long, 32 meters wide, 32 meters deep (during excavation), with 3 exits, 2 ventilation shafts and 2 barrier-free elevators. The broad concept of public art is incorporated into the design of the MRT Songshan Line. Beimen Station ("North Gate") is an important station on the MRT Green Line (Sungshan-Xindian). It exits onto Tacheng St. The station is decorated in a melange of folk art motifs in a variety of colours. It also has archaeological relics from the Ching Dynasty (1644-1911) and Japanese colonial era (1895-1945) when the area was an arsenal.

Old Taipei City was once surrounded by walls, which were demolished during the Japanese colonial period (1895 - 1945). Most of the gates remain. The East Gate has been restored recently, it is quite magnificent. It's at the corner of Ketagalan Boulevard and Chung Shan South Road. it's a busy intersection, you may have to view East Gate from a distance. This is a prime area for important institutions, including the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, which is close by, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). The name "Dong Men" (East Gate) refers to this prestigious area.

here is old and tradition building, a lots of wholesale business there, and many restaurant and 7-11 store, one of fry donuts shop always long line customer. this place near by Taipei MRT, bus main station, and Taiwan Rail, high speed rail, and airport MRT, it is good place to play around.
