HARS Aviation Museum

Museum of Australian aviation history. HARS recovers and where possible restores to flying condition aircraft of significance to Australia’s civil and military aviation history.

This is a truly remarkable experience. You could spend days at HARS exploring the fantastic collection of static and working aircraft.
Highlights for me included VH-OJA the Qantas 747-400 which I flew to South Africa on as a boy.
It was also spectacular to see Connie the last flying Lockheed Super Constellation in the world. There’s a TAA Convair, several DC3s, an Orion, a Canberra Bomber, a DC4 and so much more.
It’s superb and I strongly recommend it.

We just spent a lovely afternoon here - 3 kids aged 7,9 and 11 all enjoyed the playground and maze. Then we wandered through the rose garden and around the duck lake. There are BBQs and plenty of beautiful big old trees with ample shade for a lovely picnic

Nan Tien Institute

Welcome to Nan Tien Institute (NTI), Australia's first tertiary institution grounded in Applied Buddhist wisdom. NTI is the place for quality education and cultural exchange.

The Nan Then Temple is one of the most spiritual places we have visited with free admission. Once inside the temple the calmness, soothing faint background music and burners replenishes the body and soul. Kneeling mats are in situ & so visitors if wished could prayer quietly. The architecture truly beautiful as was the Pagoda. There are a lot of steps leading to the Pagoda OK for the more mobile so please check out before visiting for wheelchair access. The restaurant/cafe served well priced excellent food and the staff were all very friendly and polite. Toilet facilities available. The Gardens were peaceful with colourful flowers, trees, shrubs & statues. Parking free within the grounds. A must for a 'to -do- list' It's a lovely attraction whether you're spiritual or not. We left a donation, 'cos as we mentioned it was free entrance. We would recommend.

Club Windang staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is always great whether its a snitty/steak or fabulous chinese cuisine. They have specials nights Mon-Wed where you wouldnt be able to cook for yourself at these prices. Drinks are very reasonably priced. They also have entertainment most nights and a wide spread coutesy bus that is far better than its local components.

Kareelah Berry Farm

Reviewed By WorldGlutton - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

It was a most wonderful way to spend a cool spring afternoon at the Kareelah Berry Farm. The lady owner ,Vicky was a very nice lady. Great service from her despite being busy with her other chores, she patiently gave us a good explanation on her farm. Her pet dogs were a friendly bunch which kept our friend's daughter entertained while we were busy selecting our choice of strawberries for picking from the ground. There is really nothing better than picking yourown fruits . Pick your prefered quantity, pay Aus15/- per kilo. After payment, we tasted it, the flavour was fresh, juicy and sweet. It was really tasty !! As winter was just over, raspberry, blue berry, logan berry & black berry are out of season. However, she has all these berries bottled as jam.
If you're in Wollongong or Shellharbour , do not buy your strawberries anywhere , Kareelah produce is free from chemical, fresh & sweet. You will not regret !!!

Jamberoo Action Park

Jamberoo Action Park, NSW favourite theme Park...Where you control the action! Is located 20 minutes south of Wollongong, just over an hour south of Sydney and an easy 2 hour drive from Canberra. Situated on 40 hectares of landscaped Gardens enjoy the thrills and spills of high intensive water slide rides and attractions. It's a full day of family fun.

Reviewed By Ref977 - Melbourne, Australia

My question to the owners: how do you even sleep at night charging these prices?? My young family of 4 was charged $260 to get into the park..$260!!! How does an average family even afford this.? When I asked if I could just buy a family pass instead I was bluntly told ‘nope no family pass’... of course not!! Because that would be of value to families and they couldn’t rip people off as much. Considering the dirty pool water, long toilet queues (not good when your little 5 year old is busting), the greasy overpriced food, the young power tripping staff - it’s definitely not worth it, they cannot charge the same prices as Wet n Wild if they don’t offer the same product. Be an affordable regional Water Park, put your staff through customer service courses, upgrade your toilet facilities, clean your pools better.
