What to do and see in Dallas, Texas (TX): The Best Things to do Adventurous

November 28, 2021 Dorsey Hagwood

You may have all heard that everything is bigger in Texas. Well, Dallas does its best to fulfill that promise. You'll find several museums with vast art collections and fascinating specialty museums like The Sixth Floor Museum/Texas School Book Depository, which, though small in size, offers an immense amount of information about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And of course, visit a local steakhouse for a terrific (and enormous) meal.

Dallas Circus Center

Dallas Circus Center (formerly Skyline Trapeze) started in 2013 as a way for professional performers to practice while they travel. Since then, we've evolved into a training facility dedicated to sharing our love for our creative sport. We love helping people learn and introducing them to the art that we're so passionate about, so if you're looking for an original way to get some fresh air and experience new heights, we hope you'll come see our new facility near Love Field!

I booked a two hour private trapeze class for my sister's bachelorette party and it was a HUGE SUCCESS. My sister was so surprised and excited and all the ladies had an incredible time. Even the ones who were nervous still tried and loved it, because the instructors made us feel so safe and comfortable. Very clear, thorough instruction while still being super fun and personable. Donovan was in communication with me before, helping me to plan the whole event. They also took amazing photos for us throughout the class. This was a truly unforgettable experience. Days later and we can't stop talking about it. Book a class! You will not be disappointed.

My family and I took an overnight trip to Dallas this weekend and decided to visit Spark after finding discount tickets on a coupon site. I have a five year old, a tween, and a teen. They all really enjoyed themselves. It’s a beautiful (and clean) facility that highlights creativity in all forms, as well as recycling/sustainability. There we multiple art stations and an INSANE play place for all ages in the other large room. The staff was personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. There are free lockers available for storage and a snack bar. I was pleasantly surprised at how despite it being a Saturday there was still plenty of room to try all of the art exhibits and installations. We will definitely return! Recommendation: dress your little ones in jeans in lieu of knit bottoms. My daughter’s sweatpants snagged on the metal slide and tore a little. She’ll definitely wear jeans next go round. Have fun, play hard!

Had a large team building event there while we were in town. Negatives - in what seemed like a shady part of town. Also lots of lanes open but our party of 20 had to use one lane so a lot of standing around waiting. Place seemed slightly run down. Positives - Experience was very cool. Instructed did a great job. Some games like Jenga, connect4, while you waited, alcohol available, it was fun!

I went with my siblings and knew there was a lot of interesting places in here to take cool pictures. I thought it would be bigger but it wasn’t bad! All the rooms were so unique. I loved the little hidden-under-staircase area (not sure what to call it) I LOVED the secret room. I felt like I could stay there forever. The music, colors, everything was so soothing in there. I want to go back to see how they updated the room -OG
