We enjoyed an tour of the chateau and winery and our guide was very pleasant and informative. At the end there was a tasting of three of the wines with detailed comments and guidance from our guide. We then went into the grounds for a splendid picnic lunch provided by the chateau. The bread, cheeses and meats were all sourced locally and were excellent. A half bottle of chateau wine accompanied the meal and fresh coffee was brought out to us at the end of our meal. It was a lovely relaxing visit - we would definitely recommend it.

My estate is situated in the HAUT-MEDOC, very close to the Gironde Estuary. The property has been owned by my family since 1878. There is a cuvery and 20 hectares of vinyard planted with Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot. My wine is an affordable high quality Cru Bourgeois that can be appreciated in its youth or after many years of ageing.

Château Lanessan is a family property, owned by the Bouteiller family since the French Revolution. For 8 generations, we cultivate our vineyard to produce our wine, labelled as Haut Médoc appellation. We welcome visitors to discover our park, floral garden, the Horse museum, and of course our cuvier and ageing cellars. All visits end up with the tasting of our wines: we welcome you every day from 10 am to 6 pm.
