Black Tie Ski Rentals of Crested Butte

Black Tie Ski Rentals is Crested Butte's only ski and snowboard rental delivery shop! We gather guest information, select equipment from our own fleet based on that information, and fit the guest with ski and snowboard equipment at their place of lodging at a time that is convenient.

Black Tie Ski rental is by far the best place to rent ski and snowboard equipment in Mt. Crested Butte. They come to your hotel or residence with everything. Our boots were brand new with the paper stuffing still in them. Had a small problem with my husbands boots and in less than 15 minutes they were at our hotel with a new pair. For a few dollars more than other places on the mountain you will get excellent service! Very well worth it!

Spencer, Nate and I think Cory (Spencer’s wife) fitted my family of 4 for the whole ski deal. They were kind, super friendly and knowledgeable and patient. This place rocks! The manager also was helpful and listened well to my feedback. Kathy fitted me for goggles and was awesome. What a great team!!!!

Schofield Pass

Between Crested Butte and Marble, this difficult road has narrow, steep passages.

Reviewed By 981DD - Ouray, United States

This was the most beautiful pass of all we visited in Colorado- the beautiful meadows and wildflowers. Go as far as it is safe for your vehicle to go- we had a suburban AWD but couldn't make it all the way to the pass due to the road being washed out by a waterfall.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort

This ski resort with its Victorian look offers all types of terrain for the skier.

Great mountain with every (and I mean EVERY) staff member super friendly and helpful. Skied 3 days, son did 1/2 day lesson, and loved every minute on the mountain. Even getting rentals, finding lesson and exploring the mountain and village, we enjoyed. Every staff member you pass, you get a hello, Happy New Year, can I help you, and all of them really went out of their way to help. They also understood the Vail Resorts on-line system was (and still is) having plenty of issues. Rentals and lessons all worked out great thanks to the staff on the mountain. My favorite mtn to ski in Colorado. Mtn is steep and you can find some nice steep groomers. Great small pockets for short runs, short lifts near Umbrella Bar) and avoid the bigger crowds. Paradise has great steep runs.
