Adrianna was very gracious in accommodating our private Jeep tour and Pueblo del Maiz was one of her fabulous recommendations. We were greeted by guides in full Mayan dress, taught several Mayan words, made authentic tamales and enjoyed them at the end of our tour. We ground cacao seeds to make chocolate, greatly enjoyed a cup of Mayan “hot chocolate,” were entertained with a Mayan dance and played Mayan ball. All in all, a very interesting, fun and delicious time!

We recommend getting the whole package and making sure Martin is your guide! We did the museum guided tour, the chocolate making tour and lunch. All in all we spent about 3 hours, but we could have stayed much longer. Martin is a wealth of knowledge and he is happy to answer questions while teaching TONS about Mexican culture, history and geography. Just an amazing guide! He also took great photos for us throughout the park... above and beyond service for sure. The chocolate was a delight! We made our own bars while we were spoiled with chocolate drinks (they can make with or without alcohol) and treats! We were given homemade mole and chocolate dipped candies. Lunch was also amazing! Perfectly seasoned grilled chicken “street” tacos with fresh guacamole, salsa and corn chips... I’m still full! Please don’t miss this tour! The detail they have put into this museum is just wonderful ????

We really enjoyed our day at the park. We discovered interesting underwater statues while snorkeling which gave us lots to talk about. The buffet was just ok, but on a beach day, it's fine. The drinks were inclusive and were delicious - even the pool bar was alot of fun and you could get the inclusive drinks there too. All in all, a perfect afternoon in the water.

My friend and I went here for Ziplining and Horseback Riding. The Ziplining was SO MUCH FUN! The guides and photographer were great. It was my friend's first time Ziplining, and she was afraid of heights, so one of the guides went down the first line with her. After that, she had a blast. Once we finished Ziplining, we went horseback riding. That activity was just ok. Basically, the horse walked along a trail. There were several stops where we got some great information about some of the local trees and plants. I found that very interesting. This place is not as busy as most of the other tourist places, which made our visit very cozy. I will definitely be back for Ziplining when I'm back in Cozumel in November! Also, the prices for the photos was very reasonable.

Our trip to Playa Mia was by catamaran. We boarded downtown at the Pier and sailed to the Southern end of Cozumel toward Playa Mia. Along the way, we stopped to snorkel. The 45 minutes gave the group time to cool off in the warm seawater and explore sea life. We continued to Playa Mia. When we arrived we could see the beautiful white sand beaches with plenty of palm trees to provide shade. Literally hundreds of loungers lining the sand. The property has multiple pools. It also has waterslides and hot tubs Non-Motorized Sports including Kayaking, Sailing and Water Bikes. For an additional charge, things like parasailing and jet skis are available. Playa Mia also has a water obstacle course full of various floating devices to climb, jump, float and relax on. This was very popular with the kids! At Playa Mia, lunch is served under a large shelter with a few thousand tables and chairs. The buffet lunch has a variety of meats and proteins available. Salad, fruits, and vegetables are also available along with the pasta. Playa Mia has an open bar option, that we took full advantage of. Other options are available. There are also multiple bars on the property. This is good excursion for Families, Families with small children, couples or groups. The catamaran may not be a good choice for small children, however there are several alternatives (bus, Jeep, taxi, rental car). It is worth the price. Go and enjoy yourself!
