The Visitor Information Center is staffed by helpful and friendly people. In particular, the Center is the starting point for the fascinating Martin McCrossan Walking Tour of the Walled City, a history-oriented tour that I highly recommend.

Brilliant morning doing paddle boarding with my 2 grown up kids at the Edge. Had called the day before to arrange and everything was waiting for us on arrival. Never done it before but with a few helpful tips from Jack we were soon on our feet and paddling about on the beautiful river Bann. The boards were immaculate and we were well kitted out in wet suits and life jackets. All the staff were super friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. They even let us stay out a bit beyond our time . It couldn't have gone better. So glad we picked here for our first paddle board experience rather than the sea. During our paddle we even attracted the interest of a seal who swam along side us for 10 mins. A magical experience all round. Best place on the North Coast to enjoy paddle boarding by far 10/10 .

The drive up to Gortmore from Downhill is exciting to say the least. Low gear and a very steep road with blind bends make it a road to be careful on. Eventually it is worth it when you reach the viewpoint. There are stunning views over to Donegal, up Lough Foyle towards Londonderry and down the North Coast as far as the Giants' Causeway. Even on a warm calm day at sea level the wind at Gortmore is keen and cool.

The Lake Kilrea is a family friendly Outdoor Adventure and Water Park situated in the heart of mid Ulster. We offer many activities including our Aqua Inflatable Adventure Park, Pedalos, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, climbing wall, archery, Zipline and loads more to come. Our lake is a fresh water spring fed lake which has been quaility tested as extremely clean.

The museum is very interesting and outstandingly good value. Take time to watch he 15 min film at the end as it bought everything together and was very informative. The free exhibition at the start is good too.

With regular exhibitions, shows, theatre productions, activities for children and lovely seating areas inside and out, it is an enjoyable place to visit and spend some time. Free brochures, maps and information available. Accommodation booking is also available.

We often visit the country park and just love the peace and quiet you find as you walk along the well kept paths close to the beautiful River Roe. we did a full circut of the park yesterday it took us four hours but that included a break for a coffee and we certainly were in no rush. The only thing I do feel is that if the Park service can provide dog poo bins they should also put a litter bin beside them and this might solve the problem of the litter that is lying about. Did notice someone passed a remark about the notice about dogs that worry sheep will be shot and how shocked they were about it but I think signs like that are necessary as too many dogs are allowed to run free without the owners caring where they are and the poor farmer would be even more shocked to find his/her flock and probable livelihood destroyed by roaming dogs Having been there 3 times since Covid restrictions have been lifted we have found the facilities excellent the toilets have been spotless and I would have no hesitation about using them Well done Roe Valley Forest Park staff
