At the Museum of Science and History, check out the recreated Pinta and Santa Maria, two of the ships Columbus used to sail to the new world. We are lucky to be renting an Airbnb right across the street from the Michael J Ellis beach and it is absolutely beautiful! The sand is fine and the beach is really clean! There is a lot of different types of birds at the beach as well. There are miles of sand, two piers and a restaurant along the beach. It is a great place to hang out!

While on vacation to Rockport our family wanted to beat the heat and found 11th Hour Escape Room and planned a last minute activity and had an absolute blast! This was all 7 (ages 55 to 15) of us’s first time in an escape room, we didn’t make it out of the CSI room but we were really close! Excellent game host/owner will definitely do again!

Padre Island National Seashore

A 15-minute drive from downtown Corpus Christi transports you to this magnificent 70-mile stretch of white sand beach, scenic dunes and warm ocean water, offering ideal conditions for swimming, fishing, beach-combing, windsurfing, camping, bird-watching and viewing wildlife.

A fantastic national asset. Best enjoyed though with a capable 4x4 vehicle. Tourist crowd the first 5 miles of beach while the real beauty exists South of the 20 mile marker. Ask some locals before taking off down the beach, it does have it's risks. For those adventurous types a trip 60 miles south to the Mansfield jetty is worth the trip.

City park that is a favorite of birdwatchers; home to egrets, herons, terns and other species.

Reviewed By beachboywantabe - Corpus Christi, United States

Since I live less than 3 blocks away, I ride my bike here several times a week. Locals really don't consider this as part of Cole Park, and refer to it as Oleander Point. First of all, there is a beautiful sculpture called "Wind Dancer", which was installed in Octobers 2013. A perfect location for this sculpture because Oleander Point is a premier location for windsurfing & kite surfing. There is plenty of parking. Beautiful views of downtown Corpus Christi.

Harbor Playhouse

I just saw this musical at the Playhouse. Oh my gosh-fantastic. The lead actors/actresses were so delightful. The singing, costumes, backdrops, were all very well done. The kids were so cute and added such an element of storytelling. this production had a very large cast and made the stage come alive. Some parts were haunting and sort of dark, so little kids might not like this-plus the humor would be over their heads. Don't miss this production if you like community theater. the tickets are reasonable, parking is adequate. I only have two concerns to share: Wonem's restroom has too few stalls, so at intermission-run don't walk. Since the price of tickets is reasonable, the concession seems a little high. Eat before you come, so you can enjoy a drink(they have some mixed concoctions) or two without breaking the bank.
