Well maintained gardens on Lake McDonald , grass areas , rainforest and lake side picnic tables , very serene.

There is something special about volcanic land-forms and this area has several volcanic plugs. Mount Cooroy is the standout though; you can see it from almost direction - driving up the Bruce Highway, driving south from Pomona, dining at Wasabi looking up the river - doesn't matter where you are, the shape is such an amazing sight. Even better at night when the sunset displays all the colours and cloud formations.

The Butter Factory Arts Centre is run by the Cooroy Future Group as an exhibition, workshop and events venue, which also includes a separate pottery studio. There is also an artist run cooperative gift shop of handmade items including pottery, jewellery, cards, and much more. The Butter Factory Arts Centre aims to provide a friendly and supportive environment to both new and established artists working in any media, and welcomes exhibition proposals from artists, collectives and curators for group or solo exhibitions in several available gallery spaces. We are committed to aiding artists in their experimentation and growth, as well as bringing exciting work to the public. The gallery strives to create a sense of community amongst both exhibitors and viewers; a place where the arts are accessible and dynamic. The Butter Factory Arts Centre is staffed and assisted by Cooroy Future Group volunteers.

This is Noosa's Main Arts Centre in the village fo Cooroy (Heart of the Noosa Hinterland). Exhibitions, workshops, public sculpture and streetscaping & events & an Artisans Gallery with quality local product for sale at very reasonable prices. They also sometimes have live music & are part of larger community events such as Australian Body Art Festival, Cooroy Fusion Festival & Christmas in Cooroy
5. 20 20 Distillery
20 20 Distillery, based in the small Sunshine Coast hinterland town of Cooroy, is clearly focused on delivering high end spirits made from high quality ingredients. Visit the distillery tasting room every Friday 3pm-8pm and Saturday & Sunday 12pm-8pm for a taste of their beautiful Australian gin distilled on site (whisky to come), cocktails, spritzers, beers & accompanying bites.
