Je recommande ce cinéma, surtout depuis les travaux ! Il y a de nombreuses salles et les sièges sont confortables;

Dear visitor, The town of Conflans Sainte Honorine is proud to present the "Musée de la Batellerie et des Voies Navigables" (Inland Water Transport and Navigable Waterways Museum), a museum that not only shows you the history of inland navigation but also the importance of its future. In 1965 thanks to Louise Weiss, first dean of the European Parliament, the museum opened its doors and since then both the castle and the museum of Conflans have been completely restored. Just a few steps away from the Seine, you will find a collection of very rare objects about the work and life of the bargees. For 160 years Conflans Sainte Honorine has been the capital of inland navigation, and as citizens of this town we are proud of this title and through this museum, we try to maintain the heritage of bargees alive and at the same time showing the existing inland navigation. In 2020, due to its geographic location on the confluence of the Seine and the Oise, Conflans-Sainte-Honorine will be able to benefit from the opening of the Seine canal to the northern parts of Europe. Today, the town is already the gateway for the region of the Yvelines to Normandy and the English Channel. In the next 20 years, Conflans is aiming to become the European central town for inland navigation. Enjoy your visit full of interesting discoveries.

This very interesting museum is situated high above the River Oise near to its confluence with the Seine. Set in a truly beautiful former 19c chateau the building itself is worth a visit. Inside there are many interesting exhibits (canoes and piroques for example from the far East and models of installations throughout the world.
The complex port of Paris at Gennevilliers is beautifully modelled and there are many replicas of barges, sailing boats etc,
Well worth a visit!

We visited this chapel on a barge in between services on Easter Sunday. It's atmosphere is just like any standard church and although quite small is well worth a visit. We saw the congregation of all ages, most of which were smartly dressed. A great place to visit!

We started and ended our cruise on the Seine river in Conflans and it is a nice little town with port facilities along the Seine about a 50 minutes drive from Paris airport . One can visit the town in a couple of hours and there are cafés-restaurants near the docking area !

In 876 a wooden chateau that stored relics of Saint Honorine decided to move relics here since they were fearful of a Viking invasion and wanted to protect relics. In 1080 the relics were transported from here to Prieure. The west and Southern faces demonstrate the military architecture that was prevalent during that period.

Paroisse Saint Maclou

The St. Maclou Church, built at the end of the 11th century and later modified and enlarged in the 15th, 17th, and 19th centuries, is worth visiting when in Conflans. While the church interior is fairly Spartan and in need of restoration, it contained some beautiful stained glass windows. As we were leaving the church we noticed that it seemed bigger on the outside and we determined that not all of the building was open to the public. We returned and happened to come upon a lady who worked at the church. She reluctantly showed us a large room behind the altar area. This area, almost as large as the front of the church, had some large stained glass windows; it appeared that this part of the church was being used for storage. This church is well worth visiting, and the view from the church is spectacular.
