Dam Trau Beach

I haven't been all the braches, but Dam Tram is the best one I visited in Con Dao. Long and nice beach, nearby is another hidden beach. More interesting you can watch the planes landing very closely, just a spectacular view!

Toward Ben Dam pier, after Shark Cape, you will see the beach stretching more than 1km. You can visit Bai Nhat anytime, morning, afternoon, but it's well known for sunset watching!

Con Dao National Park

The National Park is worth a visit while you stay in Con Dao. With entrance ticket 60.000 vnd, you need at least 3 hours to do trekking there. The trails are easy to follow; the trees, the birds, the monkeys.. Very enjoyable. There are 3 beaches at the end when you go thru the park, so up to your time, you can choose Ong Dung beach, Bang beach or Dat Tham beach. I went to Bang beach, kind of remote and so quiet beach, great for photo shots.

Ong Dung Beach

Reviewed By K9773GBmariam - Hamburg, Germany

I walked to the beach, which takes about 45 minutes from town. The first kilometers aren't that spectacular but the last 2 km takes you on smaller paths including the last 700 meters on a forest path, which is super nice. There I saw both a handfull of wild monkeys and black squirrels on the way. The beach itself is inside a bay and full of rocks hence the name rock beach. There was just one other couple when I was there so it felt like having it all to myself. Note that you have to pay 60K to get into the national park which is necessary to go through to get there.
