Colusa (formerly Colusi, Colusi's, Koru, and Salmon Bend) is the county seat of Colusa County, California. The population was 5,971 at the 2010 census, up from 5,402 at the 2000 census. Colusi originates from the local Coru Native American tribe, who in the 1840s lived on the opposite side of the Sacramento River.

We went to the Colusa Casino to see the comedy show with Jay Mohr. This was my first time there we decided to go early to have dinner. We went to the Wintun restaurant. Our service was outstanding, the food was outstanding, the restaurant was very clean and this will not be our last visit there. The casino was clean and we had a great time. The comedy show was very funny. We're glad we went. Highly recommend this casino.

Visit: Nov-Feb for waterfowl; other times great too. Colusa NWR is just west of Colusa, and just east of I-5 at Williams. It has a 3-mile auto-trail, an egret/heron rookery (we say 52 black-crowned night herons in it Feb-2016). No visitors center here (go to Sacramento NWR, about 30 minutes north). However, the visit is worth just a stop at the first viewing platform, if you don't have time for the auto-trail. Has a 1-mile walking trail near viewing platform. Photography blind (reservation needed).

Williams Soaring Center offers a wonderful variety of glider rides for anyone wanting to experience what soaring is like. They also offer lessons for those wanting to learn how to pilot one of these planes themselves. Everyone at the center was friendly, professional and helpful. The morning we flew the sky was a series of cloud rows broken by blue sky which our pilot, Drew, explained sets up a sine wave of air pressure. Once we were released from the tow plane we surfed these bands of clouds gaining altitude to almost 10,000ft with speeds of 60 to 100 mph! It was hard to believe there was no engine! The sky was a dynamic mix of clouds and sun - exhilarating and beautiful. At one point we flew with a flock of white pelicans! Amazing to see these birds from their perspective! On our way back, Drew asked if we wanted to experience a couple of steep turns as well as at that moment of weightlessness that occurs when you climb steeply, arc, then dive downwards to create that free fall feeling. Of course we said yes and I proceeded to scream my lungs out! Thanks to everyone but especially to Drew, for making our ride an amazingly memorable experience! Happy Soaring!

This place is located on State 45, nearest cross street is Buster Road. The precise co-ordinates is 39-6'-56" North, 121-56'-15"West. You are in the middle of farm land, and nothing else in between. Then you find this pink structure with white cross next to it. It is a special place to many, especially the man who built it, and the woman who financed it.
Not to mention you have the awesome view of Sutter Butte. Not many people can say they've been here, but I have.

1877 Chinatown built on a haunted Prehistoric Pomo indian burial ground. These definitions are from the River Pomo indians "Nomlaki" which no remaining decendants or tribes exsist.
