What to do and see in Colorado, United States: The Best Game & Entertainment Centers

April 25, 2022 Moriah Teneyck

Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

Kyra made our experience very fun. It was just myself and my husband as a fun activity I surprised him with for our anniversary. We did the Conspiracy Theory room, just the two of us. We made it out with a few minutes to spare! Fun and challenging room. The business itself was very clean and there was sanitizer everywhere. I appreciate them for the extra efforts made to keep a clean safe experience for us especially with the ever-changing challenges of keeping up with COVID restrictions. Can’t wait to come back.

We had the BEST time at Pagosa Escape Zone. I called the number listed and was immediately greeted by a kind voice confirming me they were open. We were so excited so, of course, we immediately booked a room online! We chose to do the Treasure of the Rocky Mountains room per recommendation as there were only 2 of us and it was so much fun we went again the next night! The person who assisted us as “game master” was the same both nights and she was absolutely wonderful. She exuded happiness, positivity, encouragement (while we played) and made our experience that much better. The second night we did Krampus (the scary room) and while it was recommended for 4 people, the person assisting us saw how we played and thought we could do it, just the two of us, and we are SO GLAD she did. It was AWESOME! The rooms are beautifully put together, the puzzles are challenging but achievable, everything was so clean and they are doing everything they need to to keep both their team members and escape zone players safe. Pagosa Escape Zone is wonderful and a MUST for those of you looking for something great for couples, team-building, family fun, or anyone!!

Archery Games Denver

Denver's only archery dodgeball arena and the ultimate action experience Two teams battle it out with bows and foam tipped arrows in the Archery Games arena. The game-play is similar to dodge-ball and the ultimate objective of the game is to tag all of the opposing players with arrows in order to eliminate them from the game. There are no painful marks or bruises from the arrows.

We had a larger team, in excess of 40+ participants. We split them into teams of about 8, and played a round robin tournament. All employees really enjoyed the fun!! We worked with Archery Games to coordinate an external food provider, and all things went really smoothly. It worked great, as the teams weren't playing, they'd eat, and just cycle in and out of the arena. We bought drinks from Archery Games onsite. We rented out the location for a full 3 hours, which was just the right amount of time.

I finally got to try this and I was not disappointed! It is a fun and unique experience. The staff is friendly and gives you thorough instructions on safety, technique, and etiquette before you start. When I first got there and saw all sorts of people hurling the axes, I thought wow, this is kind of scary! The first time you lift that axe behind your head, you’re just hoping you don’t hurt yourself. But, man, after that first throw, you just want to go again! It’s addicting fun, and after an hour you’ll realize it’s a bit of a workout, too! Everyone there was having a good time. We shared lanes with 2 guys who were experienced throwers, and they were friendly and encouraging. The instructor came by a few time to see how we were doing. They sell beer, but I didn’t see any people drinking. And I was ok with that :) I definitely recommend Bad Axe. Good service, a fair price, a unique experience and a whole lot of fun!

Took my 14 year old son and friends here for a last day of school celebration and they had a blast! Mom even tried too. Lots of fun game options. The boys picked it right up. Lots of ooos and ahhs as they got use to the cool technology. Next time I'll drop them off and head downstairs for a drink. Everyone wins!
