Miles of white sand and romantic island resorts beckon from the hem of the Palmetto State. Families gravitate to Myrtle Beach and the 60-mile span of Grand Strand, where over 100 championship golf courses, tennis courts and nightclubs await. Charleston’s hundreds of heritage buildings, and irresistible charm, are part of its allure. Beach resorts at Kiawah Island, Seabrook and Edisto Island make for romantic getaways. American Theater

A newly renovated theater offering champagne and popcorn.

My past visits to this historic movie theatre was several years ago to see Charleston Stage performances when their home at the Dock Street Theatre was under renovation. On this latest occasion, it was for our youngest son’s wedding. The ceremony was in the theatre and the reception was in the ballroom. Everything was first class and the 100 or so guests all had a very enjoyable time. My son and his fiancee (now his wife) had selected this venue and I cannot visualize a better one for this happy occasion.

I have been to CPAC to see four previous shows, which have all been excellent, and this Christmas Spectacular was no different! I received the tickets as a birthday gift and it was a great way to get into the holiday spirit! The cast is very talented and the performance is incredibly engaging. If you have time this holiday season, I would definitely recommend going to see their holiday show! Just make sure you leave a little extra time to get there, as the traffic to the James Island County Park Light show can create quite a bit of traffic.
