This mosque, set on the alun alun, the main town square, may once have been a traditional mosque, however, it has been repeatedly extended and modified, removing all of its heritage value from a Western viewpoint. In this respect, it is much different from the Cirebon Grand Mosque near the Kraton (palace), which has largely preserved its 15th century form. This mosque may be an important place for locals, who view it as a part of their religious life, but it is not much from an architectural or cultural heritage standpoint.

Its my 2nd visit to goa sunyaragi, always find the place to be unique and camera friendly, each spot can give you a different feeling and definitely can’t go wrong for a picture taking. It’s a former water palace for cirebon’s Sultan (king). Sunyaragi served as a meditation place for the sultans, with caves and resting platforms (back then hidden behind curtains of falling water). Recommended to use tour guide provided on the entrance (no formal fee, pay as you like) to enrich you understanding about gua sunyaragi plus they can assist you on taking a picture , and please go there early in the morning or in the afternoon to avoid Cirebon scorching sun

Cirebon is not a big city or a bustling city. But It was a city with a very long track of histroy line. The modern time actually quite killed the track of the city. But you could see a lot thru this small palace.
Keraton Kasepuhan, which means the Palace of the Elder is one of 3 palaces in Cirebon. It belonged and built by the oldest of 3 Sultan in Cirebon long time ago.
So no wonder, if this palace is the largest, the most complete and has the longest history line among others.
Before I had come to this place please kill your expectation and imagination of a castle like a European castle. When you come the parking man will ask for the admission car park first and you have to buy the ticket at the ticket booth.
The ticket price is divide to the local and foreign tourists. Also for the student and adult price. It is still very reasonable. Without being asked a staff of the Keraton, which is wearing a traditional servant uniform will accompany you directly. But it's okay, don't feel hesitate at all. Since there is formal charge for the guide.
When we told the guide that our children didn't speak Bahasa Indonesia well, the guide tried to speak English as much as he could (bravo!) even for some ears his English is quite funny, but still understandable.
I recommend that you use the service of the palace guard, otherwise the visit won't worth it and you won't understand anything just see some old ruins, wall, some buildings and hall.
Fyi. this kraton is the most maintained among all.

your visit to Cirebon would not be complete without visiting this mosque. Sang Cipta Rasa Grand Mosque is one of the few old attractions that well maintained in Cirebon. The most special is the azan pitu held every Friday prayer. Try to drink water from the well, very refreshing. Don't forget to write a guest book and donate a small amount of money for the maintenance of this unique and remakrable mosque.

The town hall is on the main street through the middle of town near the train station - meaning you can miss it if you are walking by or are in a taxi/tuk tuk. Its probably not open to the general public though but you can take pictures of it from the front gates.

well,,, you can't underestimate this mountain. it's 3078 meters above sea level. the track is very challenging. there's 3 or 4 ways to get there, last July i choose to pass through Linggarjati, most people say that this track is the most extreme track among the others. when we are in the middle of our journey to the top, we met some climbers/travelers, most of them never get to the peak at the first hiking. event there are some travelers that already 3 times but still has not reached the peak. thanks God we reached the peak at our first hiking :) yeayyy. i suggest you to bring a lot of water, min 1 person bring 5 liter of water. the appropriate time is around 3 days 2 night to camp.

Many festivals was held here especially during times like chinese new year. It was really fun but make sure you are using a small transportation there cause it can get really traffic during festival. I went there during festival and i got my self stuck in the traffic for an hour. So i went out of car and walk around and buy food and snacks.. see attraction and let my driver ride the car.

Sure this is a place you could come if you wanted to get some fast food, buy some stationery or get watch a movie, but really there is nothing at all here for travellers. There isn't even a decent souvenir shop to get some batik or Cirebonese specialties. This is just a dull pedestrian mall with some very ordinary eateries.

Pasar Kanoman is an interesting traditional market for someone who is a Java newbie. It has a good collection of Cirebon batik, which is colourful and bright. It also has a large bird market. Some people may not like seeing birds in cages, but the range of finches, parrots and talking mynah birds will appeal to others. This is worth a quick look on the way to nearby Kraton Kanoman, a rundown but interesting old palace.
