Parque Nacional Natural Utria

Reviewed By Colombia-road-travel - Medellin, Colombia

As a TripAdvisor DESTINATION EXPERT for Colombia, with 30 years of visits and now living 4 years in Medellin, and exploring just about every city & pueblo both large and small - it is my pleasure to provide my experiences of Parque Nacional Natural Utria. A visit to this park and the north Pacific coast of Colombia has been on my radar for some years so pulled the trigger and just came to enjoy and so glad I did. As I live in Medellin the flight to Nuqui took about an hour. I arranged a boat the following days to get me from Nuqui to Utria and the boat ride took a little over an hour. If your anywhere near the Utria park or the northern Pacific coast of Colombia for that matter I suggest that you visit. The cost for entry into the park is 56,000 pesos and this gives you access to walking the wooden path bridge and circling back around to the beach then you return to the dock. We spent a good hour with our guide and truly enjoyed the fish and animals we encountered along with walking the beaches. Take a look at some of my photos, there are countless photo opportunities everywhere you look. Absolutely enjoyed the visit and walk and highly recommend for any person who loves nature, this place is special in it's own right.

Reserva Natural El Cielo

Nice place to visit. We could walk through the forests, rivers and we swan in natural pools. In Capurgana the food is very delicious for example I remember they sold plantains with tuna and corn and and it has many delicious restaurants. I loved it a tourist rout when I walked a lot to get to a natural pool in a waterfall in middle of the vegetation.
