The Maple Shop

Reviewed By MitchPhyllis65 - Morristown, United States

The Maple Shop on Main Street is unique to the area and a must see when in Chester. If you like maple syrup then you’ll love this shop with its selection of wonderful tasting maple syrup from the owners family run business Red Leaf Hollow Farms in Richford, VT. They also offer other maple sugar products, clothing made in Vermont, and all the equipment (except the maple trees) you’ll need to collect sap and make your own maple syrup. This past Saturday we drove out past Long Valley towards Califon and were able to see sap being collected in bucks hung from a grove of maple trees, and then stopped by the Maple Shop in Chester on our way home.

This is one of the two best knitting stores in NJ, in my opinion. I started going with a friend to try a couple classes and was blown away by how the classes here brought my knitting to the next level. The owner is super diligent about making sure the students go home proud of their work.Best selection of yarn and notions anywhere. Friendliest staff also. My home away from home.
