During our last visit to Louisville the couple we were visiting insisted that we accompany them to this small candy shop in Jeffersonville, Indiana. We happily agreed and experienced a wonderful demonstration of candy making. The samples were also wonderful. Before leaving, we bought a variety of chocolates to taste after returning home. These chocolates, filled with various fillings, were some of the best we’ve ever tasted. So smooth, creamy, rich and flavorful. They truly did melt in your mouth. Today’s visit was just to replenish our supply and add some more variety to chocolate tasting experience.

Charlestown State Park was established in 1995. The park's 5,118 acres include 4,756 acres transferred from the U.S. Army and 362 acres purchased from private owners. Charlestown State Park is remarkable for its varied topography from gently rolling highlands to its heavily wooded steep ravines. Rock outcroppings, scenic Fourteenmile Creek, and high quality woodlands make this an important addition to the state park system. The park offers rich habitat for both plants and animals. Several rare and endangered plant species as well as numerous areas displaying abundant high quality wildflowers complement diverse animal life found here.

Park was nothing spectacular, has enough trails, would have been nice to see the trails marked better so if you are wondering if you are on a wrong trail you know. Visited in July, it was very warm and humid, likely much nicer and more scenic in fall.

Covered Bridge is a Fuzzy Zoeller- designed 18-hole coursenestled on a gently rolling plain at the foot of Southern Indiana's famous Floyds Knobs. Each hole has been laid out to emphasize the natural beauty of the landscape and panorama. The par 72 circuit features five lakes, a meandering creek and is pleasantly forested. Greens are gently contoured and trap placement is challenging but not punishing. Paved cart paths connect all tees and carts can be driven anywhere on the course's Zoysia grass fairways. Each hole offers a choice of four separate tees matching the course to the ability level of any player.

The golf course is beautiful, clubhouse is huge overlooking 18th hole. There are houses around this course, the grounds crews were busy taking care of this course and you could tell, even with Indiana having one of the worst droughts in October. Champions Pointe is a Fuzzy Zoeller/Clyde Johnston-designed 18-hole golf course carved through the gorgeous landscape of southern Indiana. Each hole of this par 72 layout offers a new and exciting challenge from tee to green. Paved cart paths bring these 18 holes together connecting tee boxes for every golfers skill level to the Zoysia grass fairways throughout the course. Multiple lakes and strategically placed bunkers add to the beauty of the slightly undulated greens. Champions Pointe is a demanding yet fair test for every golfer.

Champions Pointe is a wonderfull course just a few miles north of Louisville and worth the drive. The fairways are plush and the greens are top notch. Our group went to this playhouse and we seen A Christmas Carol the Musical and the show was very good but the food not very good at all. However the show was very good and perfect for holiday season. We really did enjoy this show as the actors made it a fantastic new view of this classic tale. Only wish the food was half as good as the show. They need to hire a better chef who takes pride in their food.

We had a set appointment and pushed off on time with helpful young workers. They had decent equipment to use although the life vest had a bad odor. The creek is peaceful and not much of a current. Beautiful homes and an occasional boat idols by slowly. It is a work out and if you are a strong rower you might make it to the falls and back within your four hour retail time. Great time!

I love hiking with my dog on leash in these woods. It is a great escape from the grind and an intimate touch of nature. You may see deer, racoons, red fox, coyote, rabbits, turtles, terapins, and even Turkey once. There are picnic areas, a great playground, and a new one with more to come. There is a baseball diamond, soccer fields, gazebos, and a nature center. There are numerous events throughout the year. What's not to love about Creasy Mahan Nature Preserve.

The tour will begin at the Main Office and will immediately depart to the Stud Barn which now houses our two retired Champions, Future Prospect and Dubious Miss, as well as our Champion driving horses. There, guests will learn about the history of Hermitage Farm and be introduced to the barn’s equine tenants. Guests are also encouraged to explore the carriages and other offerings in the Stud Barn.

The feel of this plantation horse farm was perfect for hundreds of friends and family to come together and celebrate two weddings. An Indian wedding facing east first... With s magnificent entrance of the groom in a white Steed... and then their American wedding vows...on the other side of the home with food, fun, and festivities in between followed by a celebration, dinner under a tent with bluegrass music... Horses running in the paddocks beside us...there was not a detail left undone... Sarah and Ravi choose wisely and it was a perfect experience!!! Right down to the bourbon tasting bar! An amazing experience. Lots of room for the kids to run. Five star plantation modern/primitive.... Wow! The home has been redone and the art collection is intriguing as well as the conversion of the old smoke house into a modern man cave!!!!

This was the second time I've visited Wildlife In Need. I took my mom and my niece this time because neither one had been there before and as an early birthday present for my niece.
For anyone that loves animals, from grown adult tigers, lions and hyenas to baby tigers, monkeys, sloths and a wide variety of other ambassadors to the park, this is a definite must stop and see!
The price is $25 per person and you get to spend about 45 minutes learning about the babies in the park. So not only is it an educational experience but it's a hands on one also. How many times have you visited a zoo or watched TV where you watched a tiger, fox, sloth or monkey and wished you could hold one, feel how soft they were, wonder how it would be able to be near any of these? Well this allows you to do all of this! They bring out a variety of babies to interact with you. You might have a little tiger rolling around in your lap or a monkey bouncing off your head or seeing a 2 toed sloth up close and personal.
At the end of the visit you can choose from one or many ambassadors to get your own picture taken with. You can have as many people that you would like in the picture or just by yourself. There is an additional $20 charge for this, but all the money goes towards food and the upkeep of the babies.
They call the babies "ambassadors" instead of "animals" to show their love and respect for these beautiful creatures. I would love to be able to see an adult tiger or lion have this much interaction with everyone (or just me! lol) but understand why it's easier for this to happen with the babies. We appreciate Tim (the owner) and everyone at W.I.N. that open their doors to allow this to open. Many of these beautiful animals are becoming extinct and this is a fun, educating way to see them where they aren't on TV or behind bars or in books.
We will definitely be back again! Cant wait to bring my nephew the next time to experience this.

I didn't know this existed until a month ago. They are only open during special events such as the candlelight tours near the holiday/Christmas season. It's a bit out in the boonies so to speak but worth a visit. The docents are extremely nice and try to answer all questions. T it's amazing the discoveries one makes near their home after many years. If you are a history buff of any sort you may want to take a look.
