My wife and I, and two other couples recently returned home from a magical Viking River cruise from Bordeaux to Bordeaux. A true highlight of the trip was the afternoon we spent at Camus Wine and Spirits. Our group of 30+ were treated to an exquisite and most tasty lunch, a tour of their amazing facility, and then a super fun and very unique afternoon where we blended our own Cognac. Our bottles were then professionally prepared, labeled and placed in a custom wood box to allow safe transportation home. Voila! Special shout out to Sylvie Perret, the lovely Visitor Relations Ambassador, who took care of every detail to ensure we all had the best time! A stellar highlight of our entire vacation! Merci beaucoup Camus and Sylvie!

The visit to Michel Forgeron was an unexpected highlight to our cognac tour of several houses. We were lucky to have Christophe, to guide us through several barrelled samples from their estate. His explanation of the making, blending and trusting of their eaux de vie, to produce several fine cognacs was second to none. Christophe has a true passion and pride for his cognac that was prevalent throughout the visit. A rare quality in a producer who obviously loves what he does. Thank you Christophe for great day, we will be returning soon for further supplies!

Guillon-Painturaud

According to the genealogy researched by Valentin Guillon we know that our family have been living on the same farm since 1610. Over the past 3 generations the farm has been gradually planted with vines and the secrets of blending the family’s Cognac and Pineau des Charentes has been passed from grandfather to father and now daughter.Line Sauvant is the Maître de Chais of this Mansion, and she manages all the process of production, from the vineyard to the bottle! The vineyards of Guillon-Painturaud brand cover 18 hectares (about 45 acres) of land and are set in the heart of the Grande Champagne region – Grande Champagne is the way we call the Premier Cognac grape growing area. The vines benefit from the chalky soil and local climate, allowing the growth of grapes to produce a spirit that is renowned for its delicacy, powerful aromas and longevity. We produce both Cognac and Pineau des Charentes, which is a blended mix of Cognac with white or rose fresh grape juice; and it is also aged

We just visited the wonderful House of Hine for a tour with Rudolphe. My husband discovered Hine about 20 years ago in Oddbins at home in Glasgow and will not buy anything else now. The tour did not disappoint! Rudolphe was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who made the tour interesting and fun. The free tour allows you to taste 2 Hines - amazing! And for 10€ my husband got to taste the XO also - very worth the money. Thank you to Rudolphe and Hine! What a wonderful cognac and tour! Don’t hesitate to book!

We toured Maison Boinaud last week. We are from the United States and we were extremely impressed with this Cognac house, mainly by the way they do the raising of the grapes, to harvesting, processing, aging and bottling themselves. Their property is vast with vineyards. Our guide, Antoine, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate of the Cognac industry. Impressive, as the distillery has been family owned since 1640 and currently operated by the families 24th generation! The tasting was informative to include the type glass to serve cognac, how to hold the glass, how to smell the cognac and finally how to taste holding the Cognac on the tongue for 10 seconds before swallowing. We knew none of these tasting points prior to our visit. As we are traveling back to the USA, we made a small purchase. Will look for the product upon our return. We sense a great continued future for Maison Boinaud with De Luze Cognac and their creative ideas to expand this business. Thank you for the tour! Pauline and Phil
