Huge national parc in which you can, if you're luckier than us, spot some wild elephants. We have visited the dam and the Pal-a-U waterfall. You can certainly visit the area with a normal car. A map is available at the camping by the dam. The waterfall area is very slippery in rain season and dangerous to visit with small children. You have to cross some rocks by ropes. Adventurous experience. Although it is nowhere written, I would advise to do the climb with children aged minimum 7 years and in good shape.

I would advise to give it a pass as there is hardly anything to see especially when the main palace is under heavy refurbishment.
To visit, one has to be wary of the dresscode...no shorts above the knee for all, and no exposed arms for women

Visited the place after strong recommendation by the tour guide . No tickets is required to go to this place . We had our lunch there at the restaurant inside this place. Restaurant price is reasonable and food was ok.
The farm is the terrible one. Feel so sad and sorry for the animals there. They use a cane to cane the animals which we saw a few times and stopped them . Animals were placed under the hot sun. We spent 200 baht to buy food for the animals . They all seemed to be very hungry and Starved So for the tourist to buy them more food . as though that they were not given enough food but depending on tourist to buy them. The farm is dirty too. The animals were not well taken care by them . Please don’t visit them and encourage this.

This is the second time we went here (last time was 3 years ago).
We can see the farm continues to make improvements, e.g. X'mas and Halloween decorations, rabbit house etc.
Lots of places to interact with farm animals, e.g. sheep, horse, rabbit, duck, etc.
Kids would love this place!

If you plan to escape the city for a fresh breathe , here is right place. 3-4 hours drive from Bangkok. Fair price home stay or resort with choices of activites, rafting, canoeing, group outing , team building and water sports, water fun games, et. arragned by the report or hostin this area. Meal also provided at good price. Karaoke availble at request but ime are restricted due to the area is under environmental conserved.

The idea of bedecking buildings in blue as the Santorini style in Greece, though this land is not adjacent to the sea, Hua Hin-Cha Am is considered a city by the sea. So we thought of an island city which is famous and has its own character, and the answer is Santorini. This is because when we see the architecture of this island, we know where it is. Since Santorini is the island city, there must be water. That’s why there are many things here related to water, such as man-made Waterfalls, dancing Fountains, water balls for children, and green areas. The atmosphere inside is thus very enjoyable.

This is a theme park with Santorini feel to it’s buildings. Perhaps I have too high an expectation when I look at the pictures as advertised in their website. The real park isn’t at all like what is in the pictures. Besides when you have been to the actual Santorini island in Greece, this really feels too hot as a Greek island. Feature of Santorini is that all the white and a kind of special bright primary blue and mustard yellow painted all over their buildings. This place is a little under maintained. All other colors came in. There’s not much to do for the adults except a few restaurants and shopping outlets. For the teens, there’s the haunted house, the 3D ride, the escape game. The families can go for the Alive Museum. The kids can have their time in the Miffy Garden which is really nicely done.

Forest park! Absolutely not what I was expecting! To put this into perspective from 2 people’s point of view at the ages of 54 and 63 this was not an easy stroll or indeed a medium rated walk. I like a challenge and I had one today, this trail involves not just climbing 1 high peak but several and the footing is anything but a normal footpath. The forest is made up of smaller trees and shrubs, nothing of a substantial size which would offers a bit of shade and I was a bit disappointed in the lack of any wildlife or birds as I saw none except for whenever I was leaving the car park and a monkey wandered in. Don’t get me wrong as I really enjoyed the trek, it was not a walk but with a 30+ degree temperature and steep climbs to the point of very steep this is not for unfit or elderly people. The trail is said to be 3 Kms which I would normally do in 30-35 minutes at home in Thailand, this took a lot longer.
There is 2 ways to go about this and the first is a short climb at the beginning which shows the shrine of Nang Phanthurat and where she died, a nice story with a nice view which has some steep steps to make the climb to it and a return down, this is not the full trek. Please take the time to read the information before walking up the steps, it is just after the walk way up in the wooden information area and it will tell you of the Thai literature history about Nang Phanthurat. If you want you can then take the second option and do the 2 hours and 10 minutes which is what it required us to take in the entire trail. Water, snacks and proper footwear is required as you go along and make sure to follow the map as there are other options which will lead you in the wrong direction.
The Elephant corral is actually hard to understand unless explained (Kog Chang) pronounced Cock Chang, the corral is surrounded by a basin of hills and this is where they kept the Elephants, whenever viewed it makes sense.
The cave which is no distance off the main walkway and is called Ma Yom (A Thai fruit) is a bit of a disappointment except trying to explain all the sea shells! You need to see to maybe understand.
There is no fee to enter this National Park but that is not the reason to visit it, if you like a walk with a challenge or just to keep fit with some very nice views…go here. I enjoyed it. Please view my pics to see some of the terrain.

We got the hotel shuttle here, and thought we would have the afternoon on the beach.
It's not much of a beach and it's far from Clean, the Thai people use it a lot, mainly sunshades before huge rocks and a bit of sand.
We only stayed 1 hour and looked for a taxi to take us back.
We had to walk at least 3k to find a taxi.
Thai people like this to sit on the shade and read or just chill, deck chairs in shade are 50 bhat.
It just wasn't what we liked at all.
I wouldn't go back.

The temple premises are open to anyone without any cost and are easily accessible from the Cha-am centre.
Three Thai friends had accompanied us to the temple. In no time they had proceeded to climb the steps lined with a brightly-coloured multi-headed naga (mythical serpent) on each side of the path on the hill-side.
I desisted joined them due to a fear of heights, I ambled around the temple premises on the ground, not accessing the prayer hall or study rooms. Outside, there were the usual Buddhist artifacts and images spread strategically around. Unfortunately, a pack of dogs (either they were strays or were official temple resident assets) followed my every move around, Barking ferociously and noisily, ever ready to pounce any moment; and prevented me from having a more fruitful or relaxing walk. Perhaps, the dogs had been trained to 'protect' the premises. I was quite distressed by this and decided to pick up a stick and maintain extreme alertness and awareness of the environment in the event they should charge at me suddenly, which was a pity as I had hoped to have a leisure and quiet afternoon on my own, in the absence of my friends up the hill. When my friends returned within the hour, I was greatly relieved. While I had missed the cave adventure on the hill-top, the visit was still deeply ingrained due to the excitement caused by the fierce Barking dogs.
