What to do and see in Cephalonia, Ionian Islands: The Best Shopping

May 14, 2022 Roseanne Arnett

The sapphire waters of Cephalonia are steeped with history. The large Greek island was home to Odysseus, the legendary king hailed in Homer’s The Odyssey. Fortunately, it won’t take you ten years to get there. Explore the enchanting caverns of the Drogarati caves, sail to Ithaca on a glass-bottomed boat or marvel at the ancient artifacts inside the Archaeological Museum of Argostoli, Cephalonia’s main town. Or just hide from it all at one of the island’s many private beach coves.

I can’t recommend this shop, and the owner’s work, highly enough. He has a large selection of gorgeous jewellery, hand made by himself. And he will make pieces for you too. He transformed an old gold wedding ring of mine into the most beautiful dolphin pendant o hang on my gold necklace. It’s breathtakingly lovely. I really don’t want to take it off!! A couple of years ago he mase a solid gold heart pendant from scratch for my friend, and she still loves it. Lambros himself is very kind and friendly too, making this a great shopping experience.
