I suffer from frequent neck and shoulder pain, so regularly go for massages and have tried Thai, Chinese, Turkish massage in different countries. This was easily one of the best - equal to the "professional" sports therapist I see at home. I was fortunate that there was a slot available when I walked in as it was next door to my hotel. Laxmi was my masseuse. She knew the pressure points and managed to massage away most of my knots and kinks. Booked for a 60-minute session but ended up extending to 90 minutes. Highly recommended if you're in Kathmandu - excellent massage with the opportunity to contribute to a good cause.

Nepali Cooking Course - Day Class

We took our two daughters to this cooking class and it was wonderful to do as a family. We were warmly welcomed and our kids got stuck straight into momo making and making things with a pestle and mortar - they had so much fun, especially later on trying to make sel roti!! We were certainly not experts at this!! The food we made was delicious and we can't wait to try it again ourselves - a real lovely insight into Nepali life and food, Highly recommended and don't hesitate to take kids too!!

I am more than glad to get great schooling from this Nepal Yoga Home. I learn from more than 10 different yoga schools among of them I find this is most impressive and affordable comparing its quality of teaching, food and air conditioning room and facilities. Yoga home offers very safe and warm family environment which is very hard to get such a support. It's safe for tourist and female. I learn very well guided meditation and philosophy under very qualified teacher. I want to give score 100% for everything. Thanks for accommodating me as part of this community and family.

This cooking class was so good! We got to be the first class to do it at night; we went to the local market to buy our vegetables, and enjoyed a rickshaw ride to the school. The place was great for cooking and we learned so much about nepalese cooking and the delicious recipes. The women teaching us was so sweet and made us all laugh so many times, and learning from locals was unique. Thank you so much for this experience.

Osho Divine Zone

Hello???? whoever reads this you should go don't hesitate!! Swami Basu has created something very special in osho divine and its not the building the location (which are wonderful and peaceful) it's the energy the feeling or vibration of love and openness. I came initially for 1 week and ended up there for 2 months. It's hard I feel to do justice with just words to describe my experience, really it's wonderful what swami gives and its his love of life and his desire to show people to feel it more and more. The meditations are wonderful and experiencing different styles in a very thoughtful way. I also did the reiki level one and its again wonderful and even a lot more than I expected. The yoga classes offered are wonderful too very meditative with a beautiful energy. And there were so many very meaningful conversations with swami and other guests around the fire in the evening and listening to some beautiful talks by osho. So if all this wasn't enough then there is swami's family and the food!! I ate so well and loved it all definitely food prepared with love???? His mother welcomes everyone so lovingly and is a joy and inspiration to be around???? and his father is so gentle and friendly???? and momtha who comes to cook and help out is a great cook!! I am so grateful for the experience of being there and I hope many others can experience even a taste of this love and knowing????

SU4E - Elephant Happy Hour

The Elephant Happy Hour is an activity that we organize here in Sauraha as an ethical alternative to the riding. At the moment, there aren’t many options for elephant tourism besides riding. We give a working elephant the chance to do what she wants for an hour instead. We start with an info/safety session, followed by a short jeep ride to where the elephants work. After a short introduction (with fruits!) we stand back, observe and let her be an elephant. This activity is run by StandUp4Elephants (SU4E). We are an NGO based in Belgium but working full time in Nepal. We are 100% non-profit, all proceeds above the cost of renting the elephants' time go directly back into improving their lives. Space is limited, RESERVATION REQUIRED in advance. (WE DO NOT HAVE A PUBLIC OFFICE)
