I travelled through Sri Lanka with Pushpaka my tour guide & driver and it was wonderful! Pushpaka is very experienced, polite and takes very good care of you. I have visited a lot of beautiful places and seen elephants and even a leopard. The hotels were excellent and every morning Pushpaka was already waiting with his car to pick me up for a day of culture, nature and good food. Thank you Pushpaka for all your care, it felt like family and I hope to come back next year!!

I am travelling with my 6year old daughter and we were introduced to Sameera by our hotel owner who booked him to pick us up from the train. He really stood out as a friendly, kind and super easy going driver & guide so I arranged a trip for the following day. We created our own custom tour including a trip to the tea factory and stunning waterfall. Then he drove us all the way to Ella. The price was very fair and he was so accommodating. He truly goes to great lengths to make sure you have the best possible experience. It was a full but very chilled day. I highly recommend touring with him if you’re in the area.

The actual sites are amazing and well worth the trip. VERY long day so be prepared, left at 5:30am and returned at 9pm. I rated it lower because of the company. The driver was wonderful. However, the trip costs $160 but does not include entrance fees (an additional $65) or a tour guide (an extra $60). You should also dress appropriately because it is hot and humid. Sigiryia is 1200+ steps one way so shoes, hat and water are a must! Temple cave is another 300 steps one way up. Great trip but not impressed with company at all.

01, Sigiriya is one of the most valuable, historical sites in Si Lanka. The Sigiriya rock the main attraction in Sigiriya is the eighth wonder of the ancient world and, located in central of Sri Lanka. While this is our number one pick for visiting Sigiriya, check out the other options that are available. 02, Instead of Sigiriya, the next closest amazing place to climb is the Pidurangala Rock, located about 2 kms to the north of Sigiriya. You can enjoy the amazing panoramic views of nature and beautiful sculptured sleeping Buddha with the cooling breezes. 03, The Golden Rock temple is the top attraction point in Dambulla. It has over 80 caves in surrounding, and some ones are used by monks as meditation locations. The largest five natural caves (1st & 2nd Century BC) consist of Mural paintings of some history. You can identify rich history and beautiful craftsmanship as well in this place when you travel.

Some days Kandy’s skies seem perpetually bruised, with stubborn mist clinging to the hills surrounding the city’s beautiful centerpiece lake. Delicate hill-country breezes impel the mist to gently part, revealing colorful houses amid Kandy’s improbable forested halo. In the centre of town, three-wheelers careen around slippery corners, raising a soft spray that threatens the silk saris worn by local women. Here’s a city that looks good even when it’s raining. And when the drizzle subsides, cobalt-blue skies reveal a city of imposing colonial-era and Kandyan architecture, none more impressive than the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most sacred shrines. History and culture are on tap. Yes, the city is renowned for the great Kandy Esala Perahera festival (held annually in July/August), but its vibrant cultural life and attractions more than justify a visit at any time of year.

Can’t recommend Lux Tours and Laxman enough. Laxman is awesome, free pick up from the train station to our hotel. The next day we got picked up for our day trip to Sigiriya Rock and the temples. Amazing!! Laxman and his driver Priente? made our trip as enjoyable and comfortable possible going above and beyond to find rest rooms, restaurants and coffee haha. To top things off Laxman organised our train tickets for the next day for no extra charge. A friendly and reliable company that ensure a good time. Thanks again guys, you’ve made myself and Natalies day. Cheers, Luke

We began our trip from Colombo and headed to the east coast of the country. Our driver Mr Anura De Zoysa arrived at our hotel on time for us to be picked up. He was friendly, caring and accommodating to all our needs as we were traveling with a 2yr old. He even took care of our daughter a few times when we had to step into stores or when we were having our meal. He was very knowledgeable of the roads , drove safely and knew what the fastest route was without having to use google. We thoroughly enjoyed an 8 day trip across the country and it was in large part due to Mr. Zoysa.
