Stari Grad, Old Town

A visit to Travnik is a must for anyone visiting Bosnia - the views from this ancient walled city are incedible in all directions and the town itself very atmopsheric. I am sure that will change as more tourists decide to visit and the country opens up more with more direct flights. The walk is really not steep at all for anyone of average fitness and can be easily accomplished - either way it is worth it not only for the views but also of course the history.

Watermills

Very nice environment, I've been here in 2017 in the summer. And if you are visiting Bosnia-Herzegovina and you like culture, nature, great food and you want to relax then Jajce is for sure the place you have to visit. Great lakes, great waterwalls, great castles, very intresting history and the mixing and melting of the old medival cultures, best of the both worlds.

Sarena Dzamija

This is Suleymanis Mosque or Multi-coloured Mosque. It was built in 1757 during Ottoman era. Really an architectural beauty. Unfortunately the doors were locked as other mosques in Bosnia, and it opens during the prayer time only. Nice water stream in front of the mosque, many benches to sit, and a few surrounding shops.

Very nice and budget friendly place. I like it very much. This is a little bit different castle in Bosnia. Must see must feel real game of thrones. :)

Catacomb of Jajce

Reviewed By LilliumBosniacum - Hadzici, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Carved inside the rock itself, this underground Church and crypt represents an interesting place to visit. Though smaller in dimensions, this gem for spiritual, historical and architectural appreciation will leave you with a trace of something truly eerie. Built in between XIV. and XV. century,as the final resting place of Hrvatinić Family (the Grand Duke died before it was completed, his wife remarried so there are no bodies in the crypt). At the bottom area, it contains a modified Cross which contains symbols of Sun and Moon - as symbols of Death cult, Afterlife and Eternal sleep. Severely vandalized through history, it still remains a one of a kind Church in these regions. At later dates it served as a refuge for people of Church, refugees and partisan fighters. The tour is quite quick as it is a small place, it is also dark and adequate lightning is a must. Also, in the summer days, this place is cooler than the outside, so a nice trip to catacombs may refresh your body, or spirit.
