Had the opportunity to play the South course in early November and absolutely loved it! Gorgeous golf course with lots of challenging holes, variety and of course the namesake Boulders on view on many holes. Had to drive cart path only due to the last of the over-seeding process - but that didn't hold us up much - and we had a great day. Practice facilities were ready and waiting - and also in great shape.
Only small criticism would be the hustle and bustle of the pro shop and staging area - 'finished our 18 and no one even greeted us; didn't take our bags off the cart, etc. Service could have been a touch better for what you pay here.

We went on a beautiful hike here. The landscape, vistas & scenery are great. The varying terrain & vegitation keep it interesting. There is also a good chance of spotting wildlife.

Many trails, you can hike as little or as much as you like. We took a 3.5 mile loop from the Nature Center which included part of the Go John and Overton Trails. Trails are rated Easy/Moderate. The staff is courteous, professional and very helpful. Well worth the drive from Scottsdale or Phoenix.

Upon entering the spa to leaving the friendliness and professional demeanor of all employees was first class. The spa services were top notch.

Were some parts of the spa structure itself needing a spruce up here and there? Yes.

Overall the spa was very clean. There were plentiful amenities for the guests' use.

The food in the spa cafe was very good. Service was slow. The waiter said he usually did not work in the cafe. Two menu items were not available. We're out of that was the response. Still one could tell the servers were trying their hardest to provide good guest service.

Later, this same server was at the pool taking, delivering spa cafe orders, and checking on every guest regularly.

A small yet quaint place to visit for children and adults. It is especially a nice place when there are events such as wine and art shows, Farmer's Market and holiday events. Visit galleries, English Tea Room, restaurants and shops or take the children to the Gila monster slide.

We visited today. There was an event go I ng on which really added to the congestion. Parking was hard to find. But, we did find a place and strolled through the gardens. The event this week featured pumpkin carvings and pumpkin dioramas and vignettes by a world famous pumpkin artist. In addition to the pumpkins, food and beverage vendors were set up.

We picked up a brochure from the local tourist booth/chamber of commerce office. It said the museum is FREE and donations are welcome. We picked up a brochure at the museum and it said $5. When we went to the desk, he said $7 for seniors!!! What is going on? We were turned off and walked out. Just be aware that the prices are NOT as listed around town.

Carefree puts on a pumpkin carving show and displays of pumpkins in various settings around the city park. They had places for pictures, pickled pumpkins all carved, western scenes which pumpkins were used to display people or things, it was very interesting and unusual. It was free. The carvers were interesting and the little town shops are right there to browse too. The park has restrooms and playground equipment too and it has a path you can walk and meander on to see the pumpkins.

Pinnacle Peak Park

Reviewed By Baisygirl - Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

My husband and I went on on this trail but only made it to the first lookout. I am not an experienced hiker and do not like heights. There was one spot where we had to walk past a boulder on one side of the path and nothing on the other (except for a steep cliff!) and at that point I sort of freaked and said I didn’t want to continue. Husband kept going then came back to tell me the trail was fine up there so we both continued for a while. It was very impressive at the lookout but the trail was long so we didn’t continue. Maybe someday!
