A nice bicycle ride from Punta Sabbioni or Cavellino. From Ca Savio cross to Treporti and it is a lovely cycle through the lagoon. Lots of wildlife, including white flamingos. It is like moving back a century and safe. Stop for lunch in Treporti at Locanda Zanella to make a nice journey.

from this side you can see venice from faraway, you can see the big cruise passing near by, so many chips, and there you can find the station to take a chip to venice or to the lido (islands near by)

This building has been renovated to commemorate 100 yrs since Italy's involvement with WW1.
I have been intrigued by these derelict buildings for the past 10 years and is great to see that they are now being opened to public view.
This building appears to have needed the least renovation but what has been done is excellent. Quality modern additions to the original structure.
The exhibition itself is not overwhelming in size but is informative. The exhibits are great to see and give you a good sense of the artefacts relating to this area, many having "suffered" over the years by the local climate and ground. How primitive the weapons look, but none the less scary for it. The explanation is is Italian, English and German. The English is a little awkward but easy to understand.
Pricing is good for a family at €20. We spent a couple of hours here.
The cafe is a couple of vending machines which is a let down but not enough to spoil the visit.
I can't wait for the building at Amalfi to open next year. That looks fascinating!
