Very difficult to find, but keep looking because it is worth it!!! We showed up an hour late and they were kind enough to wait for us. We had a private wine tasting that consisted of 10 different wines, meats cheeses and pasta. All for $35 euros per person. The food was delicious and the wine was phenomenal. This was not your average tasting! Such a variety of choices for anyone’s palette. We spent 3 hours there! The place is beautiful and the grounds are stunning.

On the crest of the hill, the territory of Castagnole Lanze, stands the San Mauro wine farm. It's the Bianco's family wine farm that boasts a whole, between the areas of Asti and Alba district, a property of 70 hectares, of which 40 are vineyards and 30 with grass, trees and wood. Our vineyards, cultivated mainly with the Guyot pruning system, produce wines with Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin. Ours is an old family passion. From Mom Clara, Mauro took the pleasure of wine with the defense of the authenticity at all costs, from dad Ettore, took the love for the land, for the ancient agriculture, its traditions, its values. Tradition and challenge, is the motto of the family.

Come ricorda il proprio nome, Dogliotti 1870 è un’azienda a conduzione familiare con una grande storia alle spalle. Da sempre la passione per il vino ha caratterizzato la filosofia produttiva della nostra cantina, situata a Castagnole delle Lanze (AT) e , ancora oggi è lei ad ispirare la quinta generazione rappresentata da erik, Ivan e Matteo. Insieme i tre cugini hanno deciso di mettere in campo le diverse competenze per rilanciare l’azienda, affinando le tecniche produttive e ampliando la gamma dei prodotti Denominatore comune dei vini Dogliotti 1870 è il territori coni suoi vitigni autoctoni: Moscato e Barbera in primis. Essi hanno ispirato non solo grandi vini come il Moscato d’Asti selezione di erik, ma anche due etichette di vermouth (bianco e rosso)

We spent the afternoon at the winery! All the wines were delicious andd presented to us by a fourth generation owner who was generous, gracious and provided a complete explanation of their wine making. His English was excellent! The tasting was delicious! An excellent afternoon! Most interesting afternoon I have had in a long time.
