Emlen Physick Estate

The 1879 Emlen Physick Estate is Cape May's only Victorian house museum. Designed by renowned American architect Frank Furness, the home has been fully restored. Its 15 rooms open a window into Victorian times in Cape May. Guided and self-guided tours are offered. Each year, a new theme is interpreted in the museum, which has been restored and is operated by the non-profit Cape May MAC (Museums + Arts + Culture). The organization also offers guided daytime and evening trolley tours of Cape May, as well as the Cape May Lighthouse and the World War II Lookout Tower. Check website for more information.

The mansion, outer buildings and grounds are beautifully restored. My family and I enjoyed exploring the mansion and learning about its history, architecture and restoration from our tour guide. The gift shop had a nice selection of gifts, books and collectibles as well as a expertly curated exhibit about the Cape May Lighthouse. A very nice way to spend an afternoon.

Stunning Fifty Acre winery and farm. Open every day at noon for outdoor dining. Fire Pit Friday with live music 6-9pm. Full farm-to-table grill menu, reservations strongly suggested. Gorgeous gardens. The only winery and tasting room on Cape May Island. Just a short bike ride, walk or drive from all Cape May beaches and attractions.

Just discovered Willow Creek on our most recent trip to Cape May and absolutely loved it! The grounds and winery are beautiful, and the outdoor bar (and bartenders!) couldn’t be nicer! Beth took care of us on both our visits and made my kids’ day with her special (i.e., non-alcoholic) frozen daiquiris. We enjoyed yummy food, good sangria and, best of all, CORN HOLE! They’ve got multiple boards with tables set up next to the outdoor bar. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon with our kids. Bob and Season also couldn’t be nicer (and thanks, Bob, for helping us out with our scavenger hunt!). We’ll definitely be back for the wonderful food, scenery, and hospitality!

I went to see the show "Sidekicks" and it was excellent. The woman who performed in the show was wonderful and the story line was very interesting. It was a play about actress Vivian Vance and it took place on the last night of shooting of the "Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour" or the last night of the "I Love Lucy" show. It was a interesting look from her perspective about what working on the show was like. Try to get a seat in the front row as the theater is tight. I had a seat in the mid row at Christmas last year and it was painful to sit through a show with no leg room especially if you are tall. What was nice is that I bought the ticket at the last minute and I got it for 20% less than everyone else to a sold out show (there were two tickets left that night and I got one of them). Sometimes it pays to wait until the night of to buy the tickets.

Natali Vineyards

My husband and I visited Natali after finding a good deal on Groupon, not expecting much as we tend to find New Jersey wines to be too sweet. The bar tender was extremely knowledgeable and the wines completely surpassed our expectations, so much that we even bought several bottles. Will definitely recommend to others.
