We liked it all to be honest, great variety of shoreline, wooded areas, and boardwalks! Next time we will pack a light lunch and dine alfresco at one of the scenic rest areas!

We had been wanting to visit Canso fo some time and arrived on a cool late September day. After touring the town, we decided to pay a visit to the Whitman House Museum. What a great idea! We learned so much about the this historic town and the surrounding area in our afternoon there. The curator was knowledgeable and was able to bring life to the exhibits. Canso is not exactly on the beaten track but well worth the journey and be sure to visit to the Whitman House Museum.
