Ha Ha Tonka State Park

Imposing architecture and breathtaking scenery combine to make Ha Ha Tonka State Park one of Missouri’s most treasured spots. Located on the Lake of the Ozarks, the park features the stone ruins of a turn-of-the-20th-century castle built by a prominent Kansas City businessman high atop a bluff. More than 15 miles of trails traverse the park, leading visitors to sinkholes, natural bridges, caves and down to the lake.

What a fantastic find! Many different trails, some lead into each other. We went to the castle; slightly uphill, but on a paved path and many people of varied ages and abilities were visiting. You cannot get all the way up to the castle (looks as though it used to be paved along the perimeter) We also hiked the Colosseum trail, the Spring trail and to the water tower (Many steps up). The natural bridge was a beautiful sight but it was a little strenuous on the full loop, rocky and uneven in places. Beautiful views from various points. Kayaks available for rental & people were fishing. NO entrance fee!! Small visitor area upon arrival. Picnic areas throughout the park. Wonderful stop!!

Bridal Cave

Rated as one of the most scenic caverns in America, Bridal Cave has more formations per square foot than any other known cave or cavern in the United States. Park facilities include visitors center, cave tours, gift shop, rock shop, boat dock(on Lake of the Ozarks), nature trails, gemstone mining and observation tower. Open Year Round.

This was a really cool guided cave tour. There are several low spots where you'll have to be careful as well as a couple tight squeezes. Well worth the price, in my opinion. The reason I recommend going during the off-season is because you'll have a MUCH more personalized experience. During the summer months the tour groups may be upwards of 30 people at a time. That could be particularly tight in some of the Bridal Cave chambers and far from the tour guide. We went in February and there were a grand total of four people in our tour group. This allowed us to see everything we wanted to see, ask all the questions we wanted, and have a generally comfortable tour.

I booked a “couples” massage for my mom and I for a “girls day” on 12/12/20 and it was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m terrible with names, but the lady at the front desk went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. We will be back soon.

Golf at Old Kinderhook

Nestled among beautiful valleys at the Lake of the Ozarks, lies one of America’s most spectacular courses. Old Kinderhook, a Tom Weiskopf signature course, is a 6,726-yard par 71 featuring zoysia tees and fairways with large bentgrass greens. It will challenge the most serious golfer, yet plays on the friendly side. The course is renowned for its unsurpassed drama: valleys, waterfalls, hills, trees and water hazards, plus its beautiful lake setting. The elevation changes and breathtaking views will thrill you at every hole. The 18-hole, par 71, golf course is open to the public year-round. It is the centerpiece of the 700+ acre Old Kinderhook master-planned community serving residents and guests. Routed through rugged Ozark hills, the course makes the most of nature’s beauty.

Excellent, attentive service, both in the Lodge and particularly in the restaurant. If you want to play golf in the fall Ozarks, you can't find a better place, very memorable!
