Stopped in for drink and really enjoyed it. Seems to be a local hangout. Had a widow maker black and it was excellent. Really love the old wooden bar and stained glass canopy over the bar. Would recommend a stop here.

Calumet Visitor Center

Reviewed By Steve5863 - Avon, United States

Located in the historic Union Building, the Calumet Visitor Center serves as the free visitor center for the Keweenaw National Historic Park and interprets the history of the copper rush of the 1840’s and the resulting boom that ultimately created more than ten times the wealth of the more famous California gold rush. The center offers three floors of interactive exhibits that describe the often-difficult life of the miners and their families from the boom times and till the end, marked by the 1968 closing of the Calumet & Hecla Mining Company, an interesting park film, bookstore, and an information desk with helpful rangers that can provide information on the many sites and features dispersed throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula.
