What to do and see in Calistoga, California (CA): The Best Outdoor Activities

March 30, 2022 Phylicia Berquist

Here’s your day in Calistoga: Yoga. Massage. Spa lunch. Hike. Wine-tasting. Facial. Mud bath. Gourmet dinner (with more wine). Dip in a mineral pool. Does it get more relaxing than a spa town built around natural springs in the middle of wine country? We don't think so.

Oat Hill Mine Trail

This trail was right near our hotel so we decided to go around mid day and feel like we were burning off some of those vacation calories we had been accumulating. Beautiful views and the trail is semi shaded - I would probably say about half is in shade. You can really stop and go back whenever you want because some portions were relaxed and walkable while others were decently challenging!
